Silk Road successfully completed the mission on May 16, despite three absentees!
For us, it is rare to have such a small number of members attending the regular meeting. But for us it was a good chance to be steadily building and growing the team. Many thanks to our Club Coach, we managed hybrid meeting.

We Silk Road never stop working! We had a nice gathering in the middle of GW, that was a workshop on delivery. We talked about how to stand first, aiming to be a confident speaker. Of course, eye contact and clear utterance are MUST, but we focused on the effects of intonation, silence, and unintentional body movements.
The next step is making use of what we discussed!
The best part is that we are a team who never stops learning!!
Each of us is different but blooming together!

Silk Road successfully hold our regular meeting. It count already #200!! We started with Table topics where participants delivered impromptu speeches on themes such as:
* "What has motivated you recently?"
* "What kind of person do you want to become?"
* "What habits do you want to develop?"
Of course we had lots of fun!
Then prepared speeches were given: One discussed the resurgence of America's global influence and the potential of using human urine as fertilizer. The other, delivered in Japanese, explored how music affects the autonomic nervous system (sympathetic and parasympathetic). Included a demonstration using three music tracks. The whole speech will be given on May 31st at Ensis!

Our next meeting will be workshop on how to deliver our speech effectively with voice control and body language.
Everyone is expected to prepare a 1-minute speech to practice speech techniques. Contact us if you are interested in!

Silk Road Toastmasters meeting was held on 4/4 at the new venue, Akishima Education Center (ENSIS). One of our Ruukies served as the Toastmaster of the Day (TMD) and led the session, Yey!

We had four guests incluing ones from Vietnam. Everyone talked too much (!) at the sharing of personal news where members discussed topics like asthma remedies, family updates, and spring activities. Of course we enjoyed Table Topic session led by A.T san. That was THE fun part of the meeting!

The main portion included prepared speeches where K san delivered a speech on leadership and T san shared her experiences with discovering and observing ducks at a local park. The meeting ended with evaluations of the speeches and great general evaluation by our Area Director Tomita san. Thank you everone to make this meeting fruitful!

We will have a workshop about speech delivery and body language on May 2nd, which is open to everyone interested in non-verbal part of speech.😃

Forgot to snap a photo at your last meeting? No problem! My solution was to dive into the archives and use some great past shots of our speakers.

On March 21st, we were treated to two prepared speeches. While both speakers are on the same Path and Level, they tackled very different projects. One shared insights on maintaining a positive mindset, while the other moved us with a story about memories of her mother.
It was a true pleasure to experience such thoughtful speeches back-to-back. One gave us the tools to overcome obstacles and look on the bright side,while the other invited us to celebrate the unique bond between mother and daughter. These are the kinds of insights you don’t want to miss!

Silk Road had an adventurous meeting on Saturday 7th. We managed to carry out it to the end. What happened? It was a battery! We lost one of the attendees, who took two important roles! But she had sent table topic questions in advance! Yes! We followed the instructions and managed to get lots of responses! What beautiful people we have here!

Silk Road has been very quiet in FB due to the absence of the administration (that’s me!), but, the thing is that we have NOT stopped our journey at all!

The meeting on February 21 was held with two prepared speeches and one contest speech! The speakers were all well prepared.

The best part of our club is the depth of each member’s life experiences and philosophy.
One was talking about his leadership based on his understanding of leadership, the other about sense of humor based on the lyrics of the Beatles, the last about what he learned from his first job which led him awake. Sounds interesting!?

We had a regular meeting with three guests today along with Christmas spirit! Our rookie finally came to join the meeting in person! That’s a big news! We also had two guest including our Area Director TM Tomita. How supportive he is!

The main part was the Speech Fes. All attendees had 3 minutes to talk on any topic and we voted for how interesting the topic was. Everyone enjoyed talking!

The topics winning the most interest from the others are about marriage to AI, how we thank our body, and how she got along with her mother in the final stage of the journey.

After the first part of the meeting, we had a party with music and sweet.

It was a good day.

Silk Road had a wonderful meeting today with our Rookie as TMD!Congratulations!

Table Topic session was lively as ever. We all enjoyed talking about something impressive this year.

The prepared speech was about “unconscious bias ,” which was so interesting that everyone had something to say about it. Even the evaluator had so much to say, exceeding the time limit!

Our next meeting will be on 12/20 @ Aipok. We’re excited to have Speech Fes and X’mas sweets. Contact us to join our meeting!
