Greetings from the White House. With the big news of the Warrior Dividend and the FY26 NDAA expected to be signed into law we wanted to let you know what is on the horizon as the new year quickly approaches.
FY26 NDAA – What’s In It For You?
Note: These changes take effect only as the law is implemented. Details/timelines will come from DoD and your Service.
PAY, ALLOWANCES & PCS SUPPORT
* Bigger help with separation & deployment hardships
* Housing & cost-of-living improvements (BAH transparency)
* Extension of key bonuses and special pays
* PCS orders that clearly spell out relocation assistance
* “Know your compensation” education campaign
HOUSING, BARRACKS & FOOD ACCESS
* Stronger health, safety, and privacy standards for barracks
* Standardized mold remediation across DoD facilities
* Expanded food access on base using your CAC
* Commissary/exchange protections and expanded patron access
* Remote & isolated installation designations to support extra benefits
FAMILY, CHILDCARE & EDUCATION
* Expanded and extended in-home childcare assistance
* Extra childcare help in high-cost areas
* Stronger protections and notifications in child development center
* Maternal health support added to Military OneSource
* More flexible DoDEA access for military kids and supporter
* Dual/concurrent enrollment options for DoDEA students
HEALTH CARE & ACCESS TO CARE
* Easier eligibility for specialty-care travel reimbursement
* Stronger guardrails on cutting military medical billets
* Tighter rules before shrinking MTF services
* Push to reopen high-demand chiropractic clinics
* Pilot program for supplemental cancer coverage
TRANSITION & LIFE AFTER SERVICE
* Updated TAP pathways tailored to your post-service goals
* Better information-sharing on benefits, jobs, and education as you separate or retire
