On July 5, Makoto (Mac) was the greeter for Karen and Leanne from Bundaberg, Queensland, Australia. They explored Asakusa before heading to Tokyo Skytree Town, enjoying the contrast between the lively, historic streets and the modern Skytree area.

The first photo was taken at the 31st-floor Japanese restaurant Kunimi in Tokyo Solamachi, with part of Tokyo Skytree in the background. The second photo was taken with Sensoji Temple’s five-story pagoda in the background.

Yoshiko from Tokyo Greeters showed a family from Spain around Tokyo. She said they were very cheerful and fun to spend time with. They had also used Big Apple Greeter in New York and had such a wonderful experience that they decided to request a greeter in Tokyo as well.

On May 22, Makoto (Mac) greeted Allison and Phillip, a couple from New York, in Asakusa and at the Edo-Tokyo Museum in Ryogoku. Despite the rainy weather, they enjoyed Asakusa after the Sanja Festival and the Edo-Tokyo Museum, which had reopened after four years of renovation. The photos were taken in the crowded area with Kaminarimon Gate and the main hall of Senso-ji Temple in the background.
