Jeff from Big Apple Greeter and his wife, Danna, visited Tokyo. Yumi from Tokyo Greeters showed them around. While they were visiting a Japanese garden, they met a woman wearing a kimono and asked her to join them for a photo.

Gerd, an Antwerp Greeters, showed Sanae from Tokyo Greeters around the beautiful city of Antwerp.

From the moment they met, they just clicked — it felt as if they had known each other for years, almost like sisters.

Sanae is truly grateful to Gerd, not only for showing her around Antwerp, but for making the day so special and unforgettable.

Makoto (Mac) met Anita and Robert, a couple from Nijmegen in the Netherlands, in Nihonbashi.

Together, they explored the area and enjoyed the unique mix of old and new Tokyo. They visited some of Nihonbashi’s well-known landmarks, including the Kirin statue, the Mitsukoshi Main Store, and Edoya, a long-established shop specializing in traditional Japanese brushes. They also enjoyed the modern side of the neighborhood at COREDO Muromachi.

On July 5, Makoto (Mac) was the greeter for Karen and Leanne from Bundaberg, Queensland, Australia. They explored Asakusa before heading to Tokyo Skytree Town, enjoying the contrast between the lively, historic streets and the modern Skytree area.

The first photo was taken at the 31st-floor Japanese restaurant Kunimi in Tokyo Solamachi, with part of Tokyo Skytree in the background. The second photo was taken with Sensoji Temple’s five-story pagoda in the background.

Yoshiko from Tokyo Greeters showed a family from Spain around Tokyo. She said they were very cheerful and fun to spend time with. They had also used Big Apple Greeter in New York and had such a wonderful experience that they decided to request a greeter in Tokyo as well.

Anna,Teresa, Sandro and Letizia from Italy visited Tokyo, and Mayumi showed them around. First, they visited Meiji Jingu Shrine, and after that, they explored Harajuku and Shibuya. The weather was beautiful, and it was a fun day for everyone. Thank you for visiting Tokyo, and see you again.
