Through the incentivized adoption of Alternate Wetting and Drying (AWD), rice farmers are conserving water, reducing greenhouse gas emissions, and building a more sustainable future—while earning incentives for their efforts.

Climate-smart farming is not just good for the environment; it’s rewarding too! 🌱♻️

Lubos na ikinararangal ng NIA Zambales IMO ang Tumutugol IA sa pagkilala na natanggap nito sa Joint Crediting Mechanism (JCM) Ceremonial Awarding of IA Incentives na ginanap noong Hunyo 4, 2026 sa ZIMO Conference, Carael, Botolan, Zambales.

Ang tagumpay na ito ay bunga ng sama-samang pagsisikap, dedikasyon, at pagtutulungan ng bawat miyembro ng samahan sa pagsusulong ng mahusay na pamamahala ng irigasyon at pagpapaunlad ng sektor ng agrikultura.

Nagpapasalamat din ang asosasyon sa pamunuan ng NIA Region III higit lalo kina NIA Zambales IMO Acting Manager Engr. Wendell C. Martin, at Head ng Institutional Development Unit Ma'am Myrna C. Encarnacion, sa kanilang patuloy na suporta, paggabay, at malasakit sa mga Irrigators Associations na nagsisilbing inspirasyon upang lalo pang mapabuti ang aming paglilingkod sa mga magsasaka. Gayundin sa Faeger Corporation at Yanmar, na katuwang ng NIA sa pagpapatupad ng proyektong ito.

Noong ika-7 ng Agosto, pormal na lumagda sa kasunduan ang dalawang Irrigators Association sa Dinalupihan upang gamitin ang teknolohiyang Alternate Wetting and Drying (AWD) sa kanilang pagsasaka.

Ang hakbang na ito ay hindi lamang tungkol sa pagtitipid ng tubig—ito ay paglaban sa climate change mula mismo sa ating mga sakahan. Ito ay isang direkta at mabisang lokal na solusyon sa isang pandaigdigang problema. Hindi ito pagkilos ng iisang tao lamang, ito ay sama-samang pagkilos ng isang komunidad upang makagawa ng mahalagang hakbang sa pagtugon sa climate change.

Pinasasalamatan namin ang Bayan ng Dinalupihan sa binibigay nilang suporta sa proyektong ito. Ang Municipal Agriculture Office Dinalupihan, sa pamumuno ni Ma'am Arlene Javier sa kanilang walang sawang pagtulong at dedikasyon sa bawat yugto ng inisyatibong ito.. 🙏🙏🙏
