On Sunday, I participated in the monthly tea gathering at Buzoji-Temple. I performed the *usucha* (thin tea) preparation using a *ryūrei* (table-style) setup in the Hanzenkyo tea room.
Matcha: Kambayashi Shunsho
Dry sweets (*higashi*): Fujimaru

Last night's tea ceremony practice featured *usucha* (thin tea). It is a shame that I always forget to take photos of the sweets; last night, we had chilled *fu-manju* (wheat gluten cakes with filling).

昨夜の茶道の稽古は薄茶でした。いつもお菓子の写真を撮り忘れて残念です。冷たい麩饅頭でした。

I practiced preparing both thin and thick tea. The glass water jars and tea containers used during this season bring a sense of coolness.

薄茶と濃茶の稽古をしました。この季節に使うガラスの水指や茶入は涼しさを運んでくれます。

表千家九州茶道館の月釜の日でした。
薄茶席二席でした。
土風炉には栄螺の釜、水指は本当の蛸壺に楽さんが釉薬をかけたもの✨
２席目の私の茶碗にはゲゲゲの鬼太郎の目玉親父が茶碗の縁に乗っていて絵柄は一反もめんでした。お陰様で夏の遊び心にあふれた楽しいお席でした。
明日は【瓜封じの茶会】です。武蔵寺様のお茶室の中は椅子席で靴のままはいれます。皆様どうぞお出かけください😊
