Arab Labor Watch

Arab Labor Watch The Arab Labor Watch is a project which aims to promote workers' human rights and sustainable development in Jordan and in the MENA region at large.

The Arab Labor Watch is a program launched by the Amman-based Phenix Center for Economic & Informatics Studies with the purpose of probing labor rights violations in Jordan and in the Arab region at large. In launching this page in the English language, the Center hopes to make its work known to a broader public and to draw international attention to the realities lived by workers in the region. W

orkers’ rights are human rights, and any violations committed locally thereby possess a universal significance. In the struggle for our rights we are united, not as Arabs, Africans, or Europeans, but as human beings. We aim to make this page a space for reflection, discussion, and awareness-raising. Here you will find information and articles pertaining to labor rights issues, trade unions, and social justice in the region, as well as regular updates on the Center’s activities. We welcome your questions, opinions, and suggestions, and will always seek to respond in as timely a manner as possible.
