في منطقة دير علا - الأغوار الوسطى، اضطر عمّار ذو الاثني عشر عاماً إلى العمل في مزارع النخيل لمساعدة أسرته على توفير احتياجاتها الأساسية، ما أبعده عن مقاعد الدراسة في سن مبكرة.

لكن حياة عمّار بدأت تتغير عندما حصلت والدته على دعم من البرنامج الإقليمي للتنمية والحماية في الشرق الأوسط وشمال أفريقيا ، مما مكّنها من إنشاء مشروعها الخاص وتوفير مصدر دخل للأسرة. ومع تحسن أوضاعهم المعيشية، تمكن عمار من ترك العمل والعودة إلى المدرسة، بينما أصبحت والدته قادرة على تلبية احتياجات الأسرة الأساسية، ليستعيد عمّار حقه في التعليم وأمله بأن يصبح طبيب.

In Deir Alla area of the Central Jordan Valley, the twelve-year-old Ammar was forced to drop out of school and work on palm farms to help his family meet their basic needs.

Ammar’s life took a positive turn when his mother received support from the Regional Development and Protection Programme for the Middle East and North Africa (RDPP), enabling her to establish her own business and provide a source of income for the family.

As their living conditions improved, Ammar was able to leave work and return to school. With his mother now capable of meeting the family's basic needs, Ammar reclaimed his right to education and can follow his dream of becoming a doctor.

في إطار جهودها الرامية إلى تعزيز التعاون مع المؤسسات الوطنية والجهات المختصة بحقوق الطفل في الأردن، نفذت مؤسسة إنقاذ الطفل الأردن ورشة تدريبية حول دليل الإجراءات الداخلية لمراكز رعاية الأطفال المتسولين، بمشاركة العاملين في المراكز التابعة لوزارة التنمية الاجتماعية، وذلك ضمن مشروع “المسارات المستدامة والآمنة للحد من عمل الأطفال”.
وهدفت الورشة إلى تعزيز قدرات العاملين وتوحيد الإجراءات المهنية، بما يسهم في تحسين جودة خدمات الحماية والرعاية المقدمة للأطفال.

Under the “Sustainable and Safe Pathways to Reduce Child Labour” project, and as part of its efforts to strengthen cooperation with relevant child rights institutions, Save the Children Jordan conducted a training workshop on the internal procedures manual for child begging care centres.

The workshop which was attended by staff from centres affiliated with the Ministry of Social Development aimed at building the capacity of frontline workers and standardize professional procedures, contributing to improved quality of protection and care services provided to children.

لأن الطفولة لا يجب أن تُقضى في العمل، بل في التعلم واللعب.

في منطقة الأغوار الشمالية، كان العمل في الزراعة واقعاً يواجه بعض الأطفال، واليوم أصبح التعليم هو الأمل والطريق نحو مستقبل أفضل.

بالشراكة مع الوكالة الفرنسية للتنمية( AFD) قدمت مؤسسة إنقاذ الطفل جلسات توعوية لرفع وعي الأسر بمخاطر التسرب المدرسي وعمل الأطفال وتشجيعهم لاختيار المدرسة كطريق وحيد لحماية أطفالهم وضمان فرص لحياة أفضل لهم.

Children should spend their chilhood learning and playing not working.

In the Jordan Valley, working in agriculture was a reality for some children. Today, education is emerging as a source of hope and a pathway toward a safer and more promising future.

In partnership with French Development Agency (AFD), Save the Children Jordan delivered awareness sessions to strengthen caregivers’ understanding of the risks associated with child labour and school dropout, and to reinforce education as the strongest form of protection for children.

Therefore, every child who joins our family directly contributes to supporting the fund to establish and develop kindergartens and preschools in underprivileged areas in Jordan
