ضمن جهود تعزيز الصمود الاقتصادي للمجتمعات الساحلية، شهدت مدينة المخا تنفيذ الورشة التعريفية الخاصة بمشروع دعم قطاع مصائد الأسماك، بمشاركة الجهات الرسمية وأصحاب المصلحة وممثلي الجمعيات السمكية والصيادين.

شكّلت الورشة مساحة للنقاش حول أبرز التحديات والاحتياجات في القطاع السمكي، وسبل تطويره بما يسهم في تحسين فرص العمل وتعزيز الاستدامة للمجتمعات الساحلية.

يأتي هذا المشروع في إطار الشراكة بين منظمة عبس التنموية Abs Development Organization-ADO ومنظمة Welthungerhilfe (WHH)، وبدعم من الحكومة الألمانية، بهدف المساهمة في دعم سبل العيش وتعزيز الأمن الغذائي في اليمن.

يسرّنا المشاركة في تدشين الورشة التعريفية لمشروع “تعزيز الأمن الغذائي وسبل العيش في القطاع السمكي” بمدينة المخا، بالشراكة مع منظمة عبس التنموية (ADO) وبدعم من الحكومة الألمانية.

يهدف المشروع إلى دعم المجتمعات الساحلية وتعزيز الأمن الغذائي وتحسين سبل العيش للأسر العاملة في القطاع السمكي، من خلال تطوير البنية التحتية، ودعم الصيادين، وبناء القدرات، وتعزيز فرص العمل المستدامة.

نشكر جميع الجهات الرسمية والشركاء المحليين على تعاونهم ودعمهم لإنجاح هذا المشروع.

We are pleased to join the launch workshop of the “Strengthening Food Security and Livelihoods in the Fisheries Sector” project in Mokha, implemented in partnership with Abs Development Organization (ADO) and funded by the German Government.

The project aims to support coastal communities by improving food security and livelihoods in the fisheries sector through infrastructure support, capacity building, and sustainable livelihood opportunities for fishing households.

We were pleased to welcome Andrea Ambroso together with İlke Mucuk during their visit to the completed Karama II Project, funded by EU Civil Protection & Humanitarian Aid

The visit provided an opportunity to reflect on the project’s impact in supporting vulnerable communities through livelihood and income-generating activities, cash programming, winterization assistance, Multi-Purpose Cash Assistance (MPCA), and small business grants.

Through these interventions, the project contributed to strengthening community resilience, improving living conditions, and helping families meet their essential needs with dignity and greater stability.
