Youth Organization Undertaking National Growth (Y.O.U.N.G) is a Social Enterprise based in Moneague, St. Y.O.U.N.G was conceptualised from the realisation and mores of the quaint rustic community were being replaced by deviant behaviours that could impact the wider society negatively. In the summer of 2009 Doc Enterprise UK Ltd inaugurated an annual football camp which focused on using football to harness the best attitudes in young men. Recognizing the impact and growth potential of the initiative, the decision was taken to widen the scope of the Camp in 2010. The main feature of the expanded Camp was the inclusion of Personal Development Workshops. The 2011 Camp was even more expanded to include females along with more sporting and community based activities. The children particularly enjoyed the educational excursion to Kingston. This being our fourth year, we are seeing our highest numbers in expression of interest yet. We are projecting a 20% increase over last year to realise participation of 150 persons including facilitators. A key focus of the Y.O.U.N.G Enterprise is the holistic development of the youth: mental, physical, social and spiritual dimensions. The Y.O.U.N.G mission is pursued through inspiring the youth to become productive and responsible citizens. The main mode of communicating the philosophy of Y.O.U.N.G to its target audience is through its annual Sports & Development Camp. maintain the thrust of the Group through the facebook® social network platform consisting of nearly 60 members.
