Camp Chronicles 🔥😂

If Summer Camp had an award for “Most Unforgettable Moments,” we’d all be winners.

From the random jokes that had everyone laughing, to the friendly banter between platoons, to those moments when someone confidently gave the wrong answer during training—camp has definitely kept us entertained. 😭😂

And then came the bonfire… 🔥 A night filled with laughter, storytelling, singing, marshmallows (if you were lucky enough to get one!), and memories that reminded us that camp isn’t just about training—it’s about becoming a family.

Sure, we’ve been tired. Sure, we’ve wondered if our legs would ever forgive us. But somehow, every laugh, every joke, and every shared moment around the fire made it all worthwhile.

Here’s to more memories, more laughter, and maybe… just maybe… a little more sleep. 😂

Today, our cadets and staff paused from the demands of camp to give thanks, seek guidance, and reflect on the values that unite us. We were honoured to worship at Free Hill United Church, where we were reminded that true strength comes not only from discipline and training, but also from faith, humility, and service.

As we continue our Summer Camp journey, we remain committed to building not only stronger cadets, but stronger character.

We extend our sincere gratitude to the congregation and leadership of Free Hill United Church for their warm welcome and fellowship.

Camp Update 😅

Whoever said camp was all sunshine and fun clearly forgot to mention the early mornings, endless drills, and the mysterious disappearance of everyone’s energy by midday. 😂

We’ve laughed until our stomachs hurt, questioned our life choices during training, and somehow still showed up ready for the next activity. The aches are temporary, the memories are forever, and the friendships we’ve built make every challenge worth it.

Safe to say… we’re surviving, thriving, and collecting stories we’ll be telling for years to come.

Summer Camp is about more than training—it’s about discovering what you’re capable of.

These past few days have brought moments of laughter, teamwork, and unforgettable memories. They have also brought challenges that tested our resilience, discipline, and determination. There were times when we truly felt like giving up, but together, we found the strength to push forward.

Every obstacle has made us stronger. Every lesson has shaped us into better cadets. Every challenge has reminded us that success comes through perseverance and unity.

The journey continues, and we’re only getting started.

The opening days of Christmas Camp 2026 have set the tone for an exciting and productive two weeks ahead. Cadets participated in classroom instruction, leadership development, skill-building sessions, and team activities, demonstrating discipline, enthusiasm, and a willingness to learn.

Every lesson, challenge, and shared experience is preparing our cadets to become stronger leaders and better teammates. As the camp continues, we look forward to even greater achievements and unforgettable memories.

📺 RCC on National Television!

Today, July 14, 2026, marked another significant milestone for the Ranger Cadet Combined Corps (RCC) as our Corps Public Relations Officer, Lt. Maj. Rasheed Downer, was invited to appear on Smile Jamaica.

During the interview, Lt. Maj. Downer highlighted the RCC’s mission of empowering Jamaica’s youth through leadership development, discipline, community service, citizenship, emergency preparedness, and character building. He also shared the remarkable impact the Corps continues to make across communities while outlining our vision for the future.

We extend our sincere appreciation to the Smile Jamaica team for providing us with a national platform to showcase the positive work being done by the RCC. Together, we remain committed to developing the next generation of leaders and creating meaningful opportunities for young people across Jamaica.
