Blessed Good day to you all.

Devotional Title: "Unshakable in the Face of Opposition"
Scripture: Jeremiah 1:17–19

Please read the scripture verses.

Devotional Message:
This morning, the Spirit of the Lord whispers strength into our spirits: “Gird up your loins and arise.” There is no room for hesitation in this hour. The Lord is calling His servants to stand boldly, speak faithfully, and move fearlessly. The message you carry is divine, and though people may resist it, your mandate is not to seek their approval but to obey God's command.

God forewarned Jeremiah: opposition would come—but so would divine reinforcement. “I have made you a fortified city, an iron pillar, and bronze walls.” What a powerful reminder that when God sends us, He also equips us. Though kings, princes, priests, and people may rise against you, they will never prevail because the Lord is with you.

This is not the season to shrink back or be silenced. Be firm in your calling. Speak what God gives you. Stand in the power of His presence. Let your heart be strong and your voice be bold, knowing you are fortified by the Almighty Himself.

Prophetic Encouragement:
You are not ordinary—you are God's iron pillar in your generation. Don’t fear their faces; fear only the One who sent you. You are covered. You are kept. You are unshakable.

Prayer:
Heavenly Father,
Thank You for Your word that strengthens and establishes me. Today, I receive courage from Your voice. Help me to rise up, speak boldly, and stand firm in the assignment You have given me. I will not fear the faces of men, nor will I be dismayed by opposition. Make me a fortified city, an iron pillar, and bronze walls in the spirit—unmovable and unshakable in Your purpose.

Thank You for the assurance that though the enemy may fight against me, they will not prevail, for You are with me. Strengthen my heart, sharpen my mouth with Your truth, and anoint me afresh for the task ahead.

In Jesus' mighty name,
Amen.

Morning Devotion

A Heart of Belief!

If thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
—Romans 10:9

The heart is the blood pump of the body. It is also used metaphorically when we speak of affections and feelings. Since it is the central organ of the body and one of the most vital, the Bible speaks of it as the wellspring of life. Hence, it is used synonymously with “life.” When the Bible says, “Son, give me thine heart,” it doesn’t mean that we are to cut out our actual hearts and give them to God. It means that we are to give Him our lives, our all. When we come to Christ, we are not only to give intellectual assent with our minds, we are to “believe in our hearts.” We can believe in the historic Jesus, but if we have “saving faith” our belief must involve our whole being. When we believe with all our hearts, the will, emotions, and intellect are surrendered to Christ.

Prayer

Lord, I believe and rejoice in the knowledge that you are alive and my redeemer, in Jesus' name, Amen 🙏

*Positive discipline* focuses on developing a healthy relationship with your child and setting expectations around behaviour.

The good news for every parent is it works and here are some of the ways you can start putting it into practice:

*1. Praise the positives*
As parents we often focus on our children’s bad behaviour and call it out. Encouraging good behaviour helps reduce the need for discipline.

*2. Set clear expectations*
Telling your child exactly what you want them to do is much more effective than telling them what not to do.

*3. Use calm consequences*
Part of growing up is learning that if you do something, something can happen as a result. Defining this for your child encourages better behaviour and teaches them about responsibility.

Sometimes it can be frustrating for parents with a child with special needs...so tonight I want to help by answering the question👇

Parenting a child with special needs, how can that be done ?

Parenting a child with special needs can be challenging but also rewarding. Here are some tips:

1. Seek Professional Guidance: Consult with doctors, therapists, and educators for a proper diagnosis and personalized care plan.

2. Educate Yourself: Learn about your child's specific condition and available resources. Knowledge empowers you to make informed decisions.

3. Build a Support Network: Connect with support groups and other parents facing similar challenges. They can provide valuable advice and emotional support.

4. Set Realistic Expectations: Understand that progress may be slower, and milestones might be different. Celebrate each small achievement.

5. Advocate for Your Child: Be their voice in school and healthcare settings. Ensure they receive appropriate accommodations and services.

6. Create a Structured Routine: Children with special needs often benefit from predictable schedules and routines. This can reduce anxiety.

7. Promote Independence: Encourage age-appropriate independence and self-care skills. It helps boost their confidence.

8. Practice Patience: Understand that there may be difficult moments. Take breaks when needed and seek help when overwhelmed.

9. Celebrate Uniqueness: Embrace your child's individuality and talents. Focus on their strengths rather than limitations.

10. Self-Care: Don't forget to take care of yourself. Balancing your own well-being is crucial for effective parenting.

11. Plan for the Future: Consider long-term planning, such as financial and legal arrangements, to ensure your child's well-being when they reach adulthood.

12. Stay Positive: Maintain a positive attitude and provide emotional support. Your love and encouragement are invaluable.

Remember that parenting a child with special needs is a journey, and it's okay to ask for help along the way. Each child is unique, so tailor your approach to their specific needs and capabilities.

Praise God my children. Here is your devotion for today.

*Joseph and His Brothers*

Acts 7:7 (KJV). And the nation to whom they shall be in bo***ge will I judge, said God: and after that shall they come forth, and serve me in this place.

As Joseph was sold to the heathen by his own brothers, so Christ was sold to His bitterest enemies by one of His disciples. Joseph was falsely accused and thrust into prison because of his virtue; so Christ was despised and rejected because His righteous, self-denying life was a rebuke to sin; and though guilty of no wrong, He was condemned upon the testimony of false witnesses. And Joseph's patience and meekness under injustice and oppression, his ready forgiveness and noble benevolence toward his unnatural brothers, represent the Saviour's uncomplaining endurance of the malice and abuse of wicked men, and His forgiveness, not only of His murderers, but of all who have come to Him confessing their sins and seeking pardon.

Joseph outlived his father fifty-four years. He lived to see “Ephraim's children of the third generation: the children also of Machir the son of Manasseh were brought up upon Joseph's knees.” He witnessed the increase and prosperity of his people, and through all the years his faith in God's restoration of Israel to the Land of Promise was unshaken.

When he saw that his end was near, he summoned his kinsmen about him. Honored as he had been in the land of the Pharaohs, Egypt was to him but the place of his exile; his last act was to signify that his lot was cast with Israel. His last words were, “God will surely visit you, and bring you out of this land unto the land which He sware to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob.” And he took a solemn oath of the children of Israel that they would carry up his bones with them to the land of Canaan. “So Joseph died, being an hundred and ten years old: and they embalmed him, and he was put in a coffin in Egypt.” And through the centuries of toil which followed, the coffin, a reminder of the dying words of Joseph, testified to Israel that they were only sojourners in Egypt, and bade them keep their hopes fixed upon the Land of Promise, for the time of deliverance would surely come.
