Service in action. 💙💛

The Lions Club of Montego Bay, in partnership with Lion Anthony Copeland and Knutsford Express, donated three teachers’ desks to Hatfield Basic School following the impact of Hurricane Melissa.

Investing in educators is investing in the future of our children.

We were honored to have Lion Ty’East Alleyne-Bobb, 2nd Vice District Governor (MD 20K1), in attendance as our special guest, witnessing firsthand the power of Lions serving with purpose.

To Serve is a Privilege.

Our Region School Supply Project was successfully executed on Saturday, February 28 at 11:00 AM at the Catherine Hall Basic School. This initiative is a continuation of our Hurricane Relief Efforts funded by the Regional Disaster Fund.

We had 8 Lions in attendance - Lions Damion, Sheldon, Vilma, Pauline, Janet, Judith, Nola and Addo, giving their time and energy in service to the children of the Catherine Hall and West Green communities who were affected by Hurricane Melissa. A total of 31 bag packs with school supplies were issued to Early Childhood, Primary, and High School aged children, bringing joy and warmth to them and their families.

This project was a true demonstration of our commitment to service, teamwork, and community support. The presence and participation of our members ensured that the project was impactful and meaningful.

Here is a short video introducing my candidacy for Second Vice District Governor of District 60B (2026–2027).

It shares a glimpse of my journey in Lionism and my approach to service within our district.

We hope you enjoy it and encourage you to share or tag fellow Lions and friends.

*To serve is indeed a privilege*.

Hands and hearts joined together at the St. James feeding center amidst the inclement weather to execute another successful monthly feeding project in partnership with RIU Hotels.

In achieving today's success, six dedicated Lions showed up and showed out, Lion Damion - District GMT Coordinator, Lion Nola - V.P, Lions Lascelles, Charmaine and Addo - Service Chairperson. Additionally, two staff members from the St. James Feeding Center contributed to the effort.

In total we were able to serve 111 warm and scrumptious meals, with 21 of those delivered to the Refuge of Hope Shelter.

A hearty thank you goes out to all the Lions who contributed their time and energy behind the scenes. Your support made the project not only possible but impactful.

Hightlights from our Monthly Feeding.

On August 10, we successfully carried out another feeding project in partnership with RIU Hotels.

We were supported by six dedicated Lions, including our Lions President, Service Chairperson, and the District GMT Coordinator. We were also joined by a prospective Lion and two staff members from the St. James Feeding Center.

Together, we were able to serve 88 warm and scrumptious meals, with 20 of those delivered to the Refuge of Hope Shelter.

I’m excited about the many meaningful projects we will undertake together this year. As we continue to serve to lead and lead to serve.

To Serve is a Privilage.
