I just heard from someone who was at the cleanup on Saturday that people started dumping their garbage in the park already. What a nasty set of people. A shame. No respect for the people who use the place.

If warms my heart to see the photos and. Videos of the effort to clean up the beach and the park at Watson Taylor Park today during the International Coastal Clean Day 2026. Kudos to the adults and youth from Rusea’s, HEART, Lucea United Church, Lucea New Testament Church of God, other community members and all this was spearheaded by Friends of Watson Taylor Park. It is encouraging. The passion of the people of Lucea showed today. Big thanks to everyone. It was a big success.
