More moments from our annual exhibition and showcase - the City Remembers!

Still celebrating the memories
Still saying thanks to everyone who supported us

The memories keep coming. ❤️✨

As we continue reflecting on The City Remembers, we’re sharing another look through the voices of those who experienced it.

Special shout outs to Shadane Wright Spirit Wright Media for being part of the journey and helping us document, interpret, and celebrate our shared heritage.

Big love to gwarra cherry african kumina group Group, whose performance reminded us that memory lives not only in stories, but in song, dance, and community.

Thank you to everyone who attended, performed, volunteered, supported, shared, and believed in this vision.

✨ What a night. What a memory. What a city. ✨

The City Remembers was more than an event—it was a celebration of culture, community, and the stories that continue to shape who we are.

From the powerful traditions of the Charles Town Maroons, African Kumina, and Gwarra Cherry, electrifying rhythms of RSI Steel, to the towering characters and vibrant performances of Walking Tall Jamaica, every moment reminded us of the richness of our heritage and the joy of gathering together.

To our performers, sponsors, volunteers, partners, and every supporter who showed up, shared, cheered, danced, documented, and believed in the vision—thank you.

❤️ Thank you for helping us create a space where memory lives, culture thrives, and community comes alive.

Until next year, keep the spirit alive.

Some evenings stay with you long after they end. ❤️

The City Remembers was one of those evenings.

We gathered to celebrate, and honour the stories that have shaped our communities across generations.

In a rapidly changing city, these moments remind us that heritage is more than monuments and buildings, it lives in our stories, our traditions, our movements, and the people who carry them forward.

To everyone who joined us, shared a memory, offered their talents, or simply showed up to listen: THANK YOU.

Your presence helped transform this gathering into a living archive of people, culture, and spirit.

✨ The City Remembers. And we will never forget. ✨

To every partner, sponsor, volunteer, performer, and supporter who helped bring The City Remembers to life, thank you. Your time, talent, generosity, and belief in this work made this moment possible.

Together, we celebrated the enduring legacy of Jamaican masquerade traditions, created space for dialogue and reflection, and demonstrated the power of culture to connect people across generations and communities.

Special thanks to our sponsors and partners for investing in this vision and helping us create an unforgettable experience.

As we reflect on this milestone, we are reminded that preserving our cultural heritage is not the work of one person or one organization, it is a collective responsibility.

Thank you for walking with us, remembering with us, and imagining what is possible for the future of Jamaican cultural traditions.

💚💛🖤
