To prevent that same fate for other women & families, they started BreastFest and founded the Tyanna Foundation to Celebrate, Remember & Raise Funds that stay local. BreastFest began in memory of Tyanna Barre O’Brien, a New Jersey mother who lost her life to breast cancer at the age of forty-eight. They found a journal their mother had written while sick with cancer and were inspired to start the
Tyanna Foundation. BreastFest is the flagship event of the Foundation and is now held in various states up the east coast including Athens, GA, Baltimore MD, Dewey Beach, DE, the O’Brien’s hometown of Haddon Township, NJ and now BACK IN PHILLY!
