🔥 OFF-DUTY HEROISM — LOCAL 42 MEMBER
CAMERON SCOTT 🔥

On July 31, while off duty, Teaneck Firefighter Cameron Scott responded to a kitchen fire in his apartment building. After ensuring everyone had evacuated, FF Scott used extinguishers from the hallway and lobby to attack the working fire under heavy smoke conditions. His quick actions knocked down the main body of fire and limited its spread until Hackensack firefighters arrived to extinguish the remaining fire.

A Teaneck firefighter for more than six years and currently assigned to 4th Platoon, FF Scott exemplifies the courage, professionalism, and dedication that define the fire service-on and off duty.

The Teaneck Fire Department and FMBA Local 42 proudly recognizes FF Cameron Scott for his heroic actions and unwavering commitment to protecting others.

🚓 National Night Out 2026 🚒

Thank you to everyone who stopped by our booth and made this year’s National Night Out a great success! Our members enjoyed meeting the community, sharing important fire safety information, letting kids spray fire hoses at the spray house, and demonstrating the tools and techniques used during a vehicle extrication.

We appreciate the opportunity to connect with our residents and look forward to seeing you at our next community event! 🚒🔥💦
