With a decade of classroom experience, Lori Hoffman possesses valuable insights into the educational system's challenges and opportunities. Additionally she holds a Master of Science in Educational Technology and a Master of Arts in Educational Leadership. Lori is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Education, with a focus on specific learning and study habits. She was elected to Ridgefield Board of Education in November 2023 and installed in January 2024.

Juneteenth is a federal holiday observed annually on June 19th that commemorates the emancipation of enslaved African Americans. It specifically marks the day in 1865 when Union troops arrived in Galveston, Texas, to announce that the Civil War had ended and that the last enslaved people in the state were finally free.
