Yet county-related tax rates have increased in ALL 33 Ocean County municipalities. Some have experienced significant increases to as much as 40.6% in Sadeghi's 3 years as Commissioner!

🚨 OCEAN COUNTY HOMEOWNERS: ENOUGH IS ENOUGH! 🚨

Our Open Space Tax revenue is already increasing WITHOUT raising the tax rate!

Here's what Ocean County taxpayers deserve to know:

📊 1998: $3.9 MILLION collected
📊 2025: $21.2 MILLION budgeted
📊 2026: $23.2 MILLION budgeted

That's approximately a 495% INCREASE since 1998, including a 9.4% increase from 2025 to 2026 alone!

And here's the important part:

The Open Space Tax rate has NOT increased since voters originally approved it in 1997!
Yet county officials are now asking voters to approve an additional increase.

I'm a strong supporter of preserving open space and protecting Ocean County from overdevelopment. But protecting our environment should not mean giving government a blank check.

Families are already dealing with:

🏠 Rising property taxes
🛒 Higher grocery and insurance costs
⚡ Increasing utility bills
⛽ Rising gas and transportation expenses

When revenue is already growing at the existing tax rate, taxpayers deserve a clear explanation of why another increase is necessary.

Before asking homeowners for more money, county government should demonstrate fiscal responsibility, transparency, and accountability for the funds it already collects.

Frank Sadeghi claims county property taxes were frozen for three straight years. But the county tax rates tell a different story.

📈 2023–2026 County Tax Rate Increases:

🔴 Berkeley: +24.1%
🔴 Brick: +24.7%
🔴 Toms River: +17.8%
🔴 Lacey: +21.6%
🔴 Lakewood: +28.2%

These are just examples from 5 large municipalities in our county! The rest will be posted up shortly.

💰 In 2026 alone, Ocean County's total tax levy increased $54.7 MILLION — 9.4%!

IF TAXES WERE FROZEN, WHY DID THESE RATES KEEP RISING?

Ocean County families deserve honest answers, fiscal responsibility, and accountability — not political spin.
