International Association Of Chaplains

International Association Of Chaplains Our Chaplains offer spiritual care in the clinical setting. Spiritual care helps people address questions such as:

Why is this happening? What does this mean?

"Spiritual care" has to do with issues of meaning, hope, and transcendence that are often more pronounced during illness, injury, birth and death. How do I make sense of this? Where will this take me? What gives me the ability to cope? What gives me comfort? What next? For some, spiritual care also includes religious support. For others, it means providing a non-anxious, caring presence in the mid

st of an anxious time or experience. Our Chaplains are involved in patient care in many ways. This can include:

Offering reflective listening and non-judgmental emotional/spiritual comfort
Attending patient care meetings, being involved in ethics consults, working with palliative care
Responding to emergencies
Providing bereavement support at end of life care
Helping with crisis support and treatment decisions
Communicating information and providing education
Being there to hear and celebrate good news
Our Chaplains also are the "go to" people for providing religious support and materials in the hospital. The types of religious support offered by our chaplains include:

Praying Providing sacred writings (e.g., Bibles, Qur'ans) and devotional material
Helping to clarify patients' dietary and/or procedure needs and restrictions
Helping to make connection with a patient's personal clergy and/or community of faith, or providing specific religious clergy and/or ritual support during hospitalization (e.g., sacrament of the sick, communion, baptism).

🕯️ TIME WILL RUN OUT — ETERNITY WON’T
You can delay a decision.
You can avoid hard conversations.
But you cannot avoid death. ⏳

One day, your time will end. Your breath will stop.
And you will stand before your Creator.

“And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:”
— Hebrews 9:27 (KJV)

No good deed can save you.
No religion, ritual, or effort will be enough.
Only one thing matters on that day:
Did you believe the gospel of Jesus Christ?

📖 THE GOSPEL THAT SAVES
“...I declare unto you the gospel...
That Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;
And that he was buried,
and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures.”
— 1 Corinthians 15:1–4 (KJV)

This is the message that saves.
Not church attendance.
Not cleaning up your life.
Not trying harder.

Just one thing: faith in the finished work of Jesus Christ.

He died in your place, took the full punishment for your sin, was buried, and rose again in power — proving He alone has authority over death and eternal life.

“For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”
— Romans 6:23 (KJV)

✝️ HOW ARE YOU SAVED?
You are saved by believing.
Not by promising to stop sinning.
Not by joining a church or being baptized.

“Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved...”
— Acts 16:31 (KJV)

You simply trust that Jesus Christ died for your sins, was buried, and rose again — and you rest in that truth alone.

That’s the gospel. That’s salvation.
And it’s a free gift — but only to those who believe.

“For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
Not of works, lest any man should boast.”
— Ephesians 2:8–9 (KJV)

🕊️ TODAY IS THE DAY
If you’re still breathing, you still have time —
but that time is not promised tomorrow.

“Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.”
— 2 Corinthians 6:2 (KJV)

Don’t delay.
Don’t try to earn it.
Believe the gospel. Christ will save you.

Life is a field, and every action we take is a seed. The words we speak, the attitudes we carry, the choices we make—each one goes into the soil of time and will eventually bring forth a harvest. God designed it this way: not as punishment, but as a promise. 🙏
“Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.”
— Galatians 6:7 (KJV)
This truth isn’t just about judgment—it’s about hope.
If you sow grace, you’ll reap healing.
If you sow truth, trust will grow.
If you sow faith, you’ll see God move.
Even in quiet obedience, seeds are planted that heaven never forgets. 🌱
But remember—negative seeds grow too. Unchecked anger can reap broken relationships. Pride can reap isolation. Hidden bitterness can yield spiritual bo***ge. That’s why we must be intentional with what we’re planting. Every small act, every unseen choice—it matters. 💡
The good news? God is the Redeemer of broken soil. Even if you've sown bad seed in the past, repentance can plow new ground. Mercy can water dry places. The Lord is faithful to bring beauty out of ashes when we give Him control of the field. ✨
Let’s commit today to be mindful farmers of our spiritual lives. 🌻
✅ Sow truth, not gossip
✅ Sow peace, not drama
✅ Sow prayer, not worry
✅ Sow kindness, not criticism
✅ Sow love, even when it's hard
And in due season—you will reap, if you faint not. 💪
“And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.”
— Galatians 6:9 (KJV)

🔥 God sees your seeds. Don’t give up on the process. Your harvest is coming!

You can’t just PRAY and then sit back expecting GOD to hand you the results like you ordered a miracle off a menu. PRAYER IS POWERFUL, yes — but it is not a substitute for obedience, discipline, and faith-driven action. The Bible says,
“Faith without works is dead” (James 2:26, ESV).
You can cry out to GOD all you want, but if your life still looks like rebellion, laziness, or spiritual apathy, don’t expect a harvest where you haven’t sown any seed. Even the Apostle Paul, after being struck blind and saved by GRACE, didn’t sit idle — he labored harder than any of them (1 Corinthians 15:10). Why? Because he knew that GRACE fuels action, not apathy.
Don't ask GOD to bless a future you're unwilling to work toward in faith. You want a strong marriage? You better open your Bible and lead your home. You want a pure heart? Stop clicking on filth and flee youthful passions (2 Timothy 2:22). You want wisdom? Don’t just pray for it — open the Word and walk in it (Proverbs 2:1–6).
GOD isn't interested in religious talk — He wants surrendered lives.
“Why do you call me ‘Lord, Lord,’ and not do what I tell you?” (Luke 6:46)
WAKE UP. REPENT. GET TO WORK.
GOD does the impossible — but you are still responsible. And when He answers that prayer, it won’t be because you earned it. It’ll be because His GRACE met your OBEDIENCE, and His POWER filled your FAITHFULNESS.
So yes, pray without ceasing — but get off your knees and walk it out.
Because GOD doesn’t bless idleness. He blesses faith in motion.
“Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men” (Colossians 3:23)
PRAY LIKE IT DEPENDS ON GOD. WORK LIKE HE’S ALREADY MOVING.
