SeaTizen has been formally set up at the beginning of 2017, when people with different background and employment but with the same passion, the love for the sea, decided to effectively collaborate each other. SeaTizen is born long before of this date, it is born in the mind of these people when they met at the sea and they shared love for underwater environment. Most of the Founders of SeaTizen we
re committed to protect and preservation of the sea, its inhabitants and its underwater wonders and for long time they put their effort in activities and created organizations aimed to this goal. The mission of SeaTizen is to join forces and overcome local and national boundaries. SeaTizen wants to promote the public participation in the underwater environment management and conservation. On one hand, we aim to increase the citizen environmental awareness and their understanding of marine-related legislation and, on the other hands, we envisage the active participation of the civil society in the shaping of future environmental policies.
