European Academy of Religion EuARe offers a platform to researchers & scholars to meet, exchange ideas & develop further research Religion is present everywhere in Europe. Meet us.

Throughout history, it has significantly shaped society, culture and the arts. The need for Religious Studies has never been more timely. Within economics, politics, and the global crises, religion is part of the debate. As a result, research on religion is growing in volume and quality across different academic disciplines and countries. But where can researchers and scholars meet in a European context? How can they connect and exchange knowledge? The European Academy of Religion, EuARe, offers a platform to researchers and scholars to meet, exchange ideas, collaborate, and develop further research. EuARe is an independent association supporting the study, research, and collaboration of religious topics across disciplines, at the intersection of religion and social, cultural, and political issues. We offer a safe space for academic debate, analysis, and exchange. Our annual conference is a meeting place where researchers on religion, of all academic disciplines, are invited to share their research and contribute to the intellectual discourse. We support and inspire young researchers. We engage academics, policymakers, civil society, and faith-based communities through the generation of research impact and innovation, and knowledge transfer perspectives. Join EuARe.

Good research grows through conversation — and so do academic communities.

At , we want to bring those communities closer together. We warmly invite scholarly societies and associations working in the study of religion and related disciplines to join us as 'Affiliate Academic Societies'.

What could we do together?
▪️ Make room for your activities at the EuARe Annual Conference, with programme slots for up to one conference day.
▪️ Introduce your society to our wider community through a presence on the EuARe website, including your logo and website link.
▪️ Share your calls for papers, grants, fellowships and other scholarly initiatives, subject to editorial approval.

This partnership grows through active participation: affiliated societies are expected to propose one or more panels each year for the Annual Conference, bringing their questions, perspectives and conversations to our shared programme.

Affiliation involves no financial commitments for either partner; standard conference registration conditions apply.

We look forward to getting to know your community and building lasting collaborations together! Learn more and apply on the EuARe website.
