උම්බ්‍රියා අපි ශ්‍රි ලාංකික එකමුතුවෙ පළමු වර්ෂ පූර්ණ මහ සභා රැස්වීම 2026 අගෝස්තු මස 29 වන දින ඉතා සාර්ථකව පවත්වන්නට යෙදුනු අතර රැකියා හා වෙනත් විවිධ හේතුන්මත එදින මහසභා රැස්වීමට සහභාගී වීමට අපහසු වු සාමාජිකයින් හා උම්බ්‍රියා අපි ශ්‍රි ලාංකික එකමුතුව වෙත විවිධාකාරයෙන් මහත් වු දායකත්වක්,සහයෝගයක් ලබා දෙන අප ආදරණීය සහෘදයින්ගේ දැනුවත් වීම සදහා නුදුරේදිම මහ සභා රැස්වීම් සටහන් ඉදිරිපත් කරන බව දැනුම් දෙමු.
එදින රැස්වීමේ හා සුහද හමුවෙ කැමරා සටහන් කිහිපයක් පහතින් පල කරන අතර මහ සභා රැස්විම සාර්ථක කර ගැනීම සදහා නන්අයුරින් සහයෝගය ලබා දුන් සියළුම දෙනාටත් පැමිණ සහභාගි වු උම්බ්‍රියා අපි ශ්‍රි ලාංකික එකමුතුවෙ සාමාජිකයන්ට හා අනෙකුත් සියළුම ආදරණිය සහෘදයින්ටත් හද පිරි ප්‍රණාමය පුද කරමු.

H.E. the Ambassador Satya Rodrigo met with 𝗠𝗿. 𝗖𝗹𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗲, 𝗗𝗶𝗽𝗹𝗼𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗰 𝗔𝗱𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗠𝗶𝗻𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝗖𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗜𝘁𝗮𝗹𝘆, to discuss further avenues for enhancing cooperation between Sri Lanka and Italy in the cultural sector.

Both sides underscored the longstanding historical ties between the two countries, which date back to the 1st century AD, when Sri Lankan emissaries are recorded to have visited Rome during the reign of Emperor Claudius.

The Italian side expressed its willingness to share its expertise and technical knowledge with Sri Lanka, particularly in the preservation and conservation of cultural and historical artefacts.

Furthermore, H.E the Ambassador met with 𝗠𝘀. 𝗦𝘆𝗹𝘃𝗶𝗮 𝗖𝗼𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗶, 𝗗𝗶𝗽𝗹𝗼𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗰 𝗔𝗱𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗠𝗶𝗻𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝗘𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗜𝘁𝗮𝗹𝘆.

During the meetings, the Ambassador discussed with both officials avenues for further advancing the implementation of the existing Agreement between Sri Lanka and Italy on Cultural, Educational, Scientific & Technological Cooperation, with a view to deepening bilateral collaboration in these important areas.

The meetings reaffirmed the shared commitment to further strengthening cultural and educational cooperation, while fostering the longstanding people-to-people ties between 🇱🇰 and 🇮🇹.
