🎯 Si conclude il nostro percorso con “The Truth Matters”!

Con l’attività di disseminazione tenutasi presso il Liceo De Sanctis Galilei di Manduria, si chiude il viaggio del progetto Erasmus+ “The Truth Matters”, organizzato dal nostro partner spagnolo La Biznaga Blanca, che ringraziamo di cuore per la collaborazione e la passione condivisa. 💬

Un progetto che ha promosso l’informazione vera, approfondita e consapevole, quella che unisce le persone e smonta le fake news.

🎯 Our journey with “The Truth Matters” comes to an end!

With the dissemination activity held at the Liceo De Sanctis Galilei in Manduria, we wrapped up the Erasmus+ project “The Truth Matters”, organized by our Spanish partner La Biznaga Blanca, whom we warmly thank for the great collaboration and shared commitment. 💬

A project that promoted true, in-depth and conscious information — the kind that brings people together and debunks fake news.

💡 Because truth always matters.

Yesterday's report (14/10)

Today we visited some schools in Manduria to work with local students through the workshops we had prepared in the previous days.

Then we went to the city hall, where we met with the vice president. She was very touched to see young people once again taking part in Erasmus+ activities in her region, and highlighted how important these kinds of initiatives are for small communities like hers.

Later in the afternoon, we had the opportunity to relax, socialize, and enjoy the beach (perhaps for the last time), which was very much appreciated by everyone! Thank you 🫶🏼

In the evening, we gathered in the activity room to look at the photos we took and share feedback about how the workshop went.

We ended the night with the intercultural evening of Italy and The Netherlands, where we discovered cookies hidden in our shoes and learned some traditional dance moves.

Daily Report (day6) – From Leporano to Taranto

Today, our participants from six different countries left the campsite in Leporano and traveled to Taranto for a day full of exploration and learning.

In the morning, the participants worked in mixed international teams to conduct interviews with local residents. Through these conversations, they gained valuable insights into the perspectives and daily lives of the people of Taranto.

After completing the interviews, participants had the chance to explore the city, discover its rich history, and taste local specialties, deepening their cultural understanding of the area.

In the afternoon, everyone came together to review and analyze the collected interviews. The discussions focused on understanding how fake news influences the local community and the broader social impact of misinformation.

To conclude the day, participants split into teams to begin preparing the workshops they will present tomorrow at the high school in Manduria. Each team shared their ideas and received constructive feedback and suggestions for improvement, ensuring that tomorrow’s sessions will be both impactful and engaging.

It was a day filled with teamwork, discovery, and meaningful reflection — a perfect preparation for the exciting day ahead in Manduria.

Day 3 (Yesterday) Report - From Fake to Real

Our day started with the Spanish energisers so as to start our day with fun. Our workshop was about analysing a video and an article and we tried to find what we learned with the method “C.R.A.A.P”. Then we presented our results.Then we were given a task of creating a video with the theme "fake news". Details and the organisation of it were up to us. We devided ourselves in mixed groups and came up with creative concepts.

After lunch we gathered in the meeting room and started our session with a fun energizer that brought us closer and made us more active. The first activity was finding news and challenging the other teams to identify real vs fake headlines about environment. Then we saw each other’s videos made earlier in the morning and did some explaining of our ideas.

For last, it was time for the intercultural night with Romania and Portugal, when both groups presented their habitudes with videos, dances and of course, their most traditional food.

Day 2 report – From Fake to Real

The day began with a Secret Friend activity, where each participant will receive small surprises throughout the ten days to make the experience more personal and meaningful.

It was a warm and thoughtful way to start building deeper connections within the group.

After that, we dove into the topic of fake news, researching examples from our own countries. We explored how misinformation affects our societies, the initiatives created to combat it, and how both national and European contexts approach the issue.

This activity helped us realize the global scope of fake news and how every country faces similar challenges in different ways.

In the afternoon, we took part in a Mission Impossible challenge, where we had to work together as a team to complete eight creative tasks — from taking photos and conducting interviews to sharing innovative ideas and collaborating closely.

It was a fun and dynamic way to strengthen teamwork and communication while learning to trust and support one another.

The day ended with an exciting activity: creating our own fake news story based on a topic related to the place we are staying. We had to design persuasive headlines, use memes, AI-generated images, and manipulate facts to attract a specific audience.

Through this task, we unleashed our creativity and truly understood how easy it can be to twist reality and shape different narratives.

Overall, Day 2 was a perfect mix of learning, teamwork, and creativity. We moved from analyzing misinformation to experiencing its creation, gaining valuable insight into the importance of critical thinking in today’s world.

Report day 1

Morning Session: Welcome and Introductions
The first day of the Erasmus+ project began with a warm welcome from the host team in Leporano, Italy. Participants from all six countries gathered to officially open the program and learn more about the week’s objectives and planned activities.
The session continued with engaging icebreaker activities and group games that helped participants get to know each other better, fostering a friendly and collaborative atmosphere right from the start.
After the introductory activities, everyone enjoyed a pleasant lunch break — a perfect opportunity for informal conversations, sharing stories, and exchanging first impressions of the Italian setting.

Afternoon Session: Learning about Erasmus+
In the afternoon, participants were divided into international teams, promoting intercultural cooperation and teamwork. Each group took part in interactive workshops focused on the Erasmus+ Programme, exploring its aims, opportunities, and impact on youth mobility and education across Europe.
Through dynamic discussions and collaborative tasks, participants deepened their understanding of how Erasmus+ projects promote intercultural learning, inclusion, and active European citizenship.

Evening: Intercultural Night – Spain & Portugal
The first day concluded with a vibrant Intercultural Night hosted by the Spanish and Portuguese teams. The evening was full of energy, music, and joy.
Participants were treated to traditional dances, lively performances, and a taste of local gastronomy, featuring delicious snacks and the unmistakable flavor of homemade sangria. The atmosphere was festive and warm, with everyone joining in the dancing and laughter, creating unforgettable memories.
It was a perfect ending to an exciting first day, highlighting the essence of Erasmus+: friendship, cultural exchange, and shared celebration.

So, the day set a positive and enthusiastic tone for the rest of the project. Participants bonded quickly, learned valuable insights about Erasmus+, and celebrated the diversity of European cultures. From teamwork and learning to dancing and sharing traditional food, the day perfectly embodied the true Erasmus ❣️

Domani si parte! 🚀✨

🌍 Sta per iniziare lo scambio giovanile del progetto From Fake to Real, cofinanziato dal programma Erasmus+, che dal 7 al 17 ottobre 2025 riunirà a Porto Pirrone (Leporano, TA) 36 giovani provenienti da Italia, Spagna, Portogallo, Olanda, Ungheria e Romania! 🇮🇹🇪🇸🇵🇹🇷🇴🇳🇱🇭🇺

Per dieci giorni vivremo insieme un’esperienza dedicata a:
📰 Media literacy e pensiero critico
💬 Fact-checking e contrasto alla disinformazione
🌱 Fake news sul clima e sull’inclusione sociale

Attraverso laboratori, giochi, storytelling digitali e momenti interculturali, i partecipanti impareranno a riconoscere la disinformazione, verificarla e trasformare la conoscenza in azione positiva. 💡

📸 Qualche curiosità:

Il gruppo sarà ospitato in un camping sul mare, immerso nella natura e a due passi dalla spiaggia di Porto Pirrone 🌊

Ogni giornata sarà diversa: tra attività creative, serate multiculturali e momenti di riflessione condivisa sotto le stelle ✨

Gli output finali includeranno mini-campagne digitali ideate direttamente dai partecipanti!

🌍 The youth exchange of the project From Fake to Real, co-funded by the Erasmus+ programme, is about to begin!
From 7 to 17 October 2025, 36 young people from Italy, Spain, Portugal, the Netherland, Hungary and Romania will meet in Porto Pirrone (Leporano, Italy) to live an unforgettable experience! 🇮🇹🇪🇸🇵🇹🇷🇴🇳🇱🇭🇺

For ten days we’ll explore:
📰 Media literacy and critical thinking
💬 Fact-checking and fighting disinformation
🌱 Fake news about climate and social inclusion

Through workshops, games, digital storytelling and intercultural moments, participants will learn how to recognise disinformation, verify facts and turn awareness into action. 💡
