The goal of the event is to showcase the identity and quality of Italian video games, giving visibility to independent productions, emerging studios, and established companies in the sector.

IIDEA, the association representing the videogame industry in Italy, has curated this selection for years to present to the international audience the variety, creative talent, and technological capabilities of Italian developers, participating in international fairs, promotional activities, and industry projects.

📍 𝐃𝐢𝐠𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐇𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐠𝐞 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓 | 8-13 September, Siena

On September 10th, 𝘾𝙍𝙀𝘼𝙈𝘼𝙍𝙀: 𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙂𝙖𝙢𝙚 was presented at the 4th edition of the 𝐃𝐢𝐠𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐇𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐠𝐞 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐬 & 𝐄𝐱𝐩𝐨, held in the historic San Niccolò Palace in Siena, Italy.

This international event brought together researchers, professionals, and institutions for an inspiring exchange of ideas on how 𝐝𝐢𝐠𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐭𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐧𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐢𝐞𝐬 can support the study, preservation, and promotion of 𝐂𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐇𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐠𝐞.

As part of the session “𝙂𝙖𝙢𝙚 𝘿𝙚𝙨𝙞𝙜𝙣 𝙈𝙚𝙩𝙝𝙤𝙙𝙨 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝘼𝙥𝙥𝙡𝙞𝙘𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙨”, the CREAMARE team showcased how 𝘴𝘦𝘳𝘪𝘰𝘶𝘴 𝘨𝘢𝘮𝘦𝘴 can be a powerful tool for raising awareness about Underwater Cultural Heritage (UCH) and the environmental challenges facing our oceans.
Participants experienced a live gameplay session, diving into missions based on real-world issues — from 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐜𝐮𝐢𝐧𝐠 marine life entangled in ghost nets to cleaning up oil spills and 𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐥𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 3D reconstructions of submerged archaeological sites.

🌊 Set across 𝟗 𝐚𝐮𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐜 𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐰𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐬 in the Mediterranean, the game blends storytelling, science, and interactivity to create a truly immersive experience.
The project sparked strong interest from the public, opening up inspiring conversations about the role of digital tools in education, outreach, and cultural preservation.

🤝On January 29, 2025, a focus group was held at Novena d.o.o., bringing together 16 participants to test Creamare: The Game. Participants completed questionnaires, provided valuable feedback, and emphasized the importance of digital tools in promoting and preserving Underwater Cultural Heritage.

This event marks a significant step in validating the game and shaping its further development, offering crucial insights for finalizing the CREAMARE project.

🎮 Creamare: The Game took center stage in key testing activities and presentations!

Last November, our partner, the 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗖á𝗱𝗶𝘇, showcased the project at the “INNOVAZUL Forum”, a major event dedicated to the blue economy and fostering collaboration among institutions, researchers, and companies.
Meanwhile, 𝗣𝗿𝗼 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗲 presented the project and our serious game at “Museum Digit 2024”, generating great success, enthusiasm and curiosity.
