REV Practice Study Visit in Sardinia - a few moments from this rich experience. ✨

From 11 to 15 August, REV travelled to Sardinia to discover and immerse ourselves in the reality of Seulo, learning from the local community and experiencing its central element of community life - the Andalas volunteering event, held on 13 August. 🩵

A little bit of magic from Talking Roots ✨

(did we loose all of our nice and kind of professionally done photos and videos from this experience because our SD card malfunctioned? yes. is that stopping us? noooooooo. together with youngsters and assistants we managed to retrieve enough memories from our phones to still create an amazing throwback. 🤍)

This was our first youth mobility, which we organised as Arrexini Asula, only for neurodivergent participants. We are deeply thankful to the youngsters, as they were brave enough to say yes to an experience like this. They made it unforgettable, both for us and for themselves. 🤍

We 💫 wandered, 🏔️ explored, ✨ created adventures and memories, 🩵 learned from each other, 🫂 made friends, 🌳 cared for nature, 🧑‍🎨 expressed ourselves, and much, much more.

The most heartwarming feeling is that, together as a team - youngsters, assistants, facilitators, and everyone who supported this experience - we managed to create a truly safe, comfortable, and encouraging environment where everyone could express themselves authentically. We feel deeply grateful for that. 🤍 Even Nala (our shyest dog) was opening up and going up to the youngsters for cuddles. 🥹

This week taught us that this is definitely the direction we want to dive into. 🌀

Nature in Progress week 🌳✨ A week full of learning, immersion in nature, memorable moments, and time well spent. 💚

We explored Arrexini Asula and the natural heritage of Seulo, learning about nature conservation practices in Sardinia directly from the people who care for and protect these landscapes. We visited Esterzili to learn from the truly resilient rural organisation . We also travelled to Seui to discover its history and meet - an organisation that has kept its musical tradition alive for more than 100 years.

We are deeply grateful to everyone who made this week possible:
💚 .seulo for introducing us to Seulo’s natural heritage, supporting us throughout the entire week, and sharing your knowledge with us.
💚 for co-financing our event on 29 May.
💚 for beautifully capturing these moments and being part of the experience with us.
💚 for hosting us and showing us a truly inspiring rural reality.
💚 for welcoming us and presenting an exceptional example of a musical tradition that has endured for over a century.
💚 for your wonderful hospitality and for making everyone feel like part of one family.
💚 Corpo Forestale, the Mayor of Seulo .murgia.5 and for immersing us in local nature conservation practices.
💚 Our participants from Rome and Romanian Ranger Association, for your openness, curiosity, and for making this week so vibrant. It was a joy to share this experience with such a wonderful group.
💚 And finally, the entire Seulo community and all the local participants - thank you for making everyone feel at home.

This study visit is an important milestone for us - it was Arrexini Asula’s first study visit. The week was a rollercoaster. We learned so much, discovered areas where we can improve, shared unforgettable moments, and left with the feeling that we actually created something meaningful. 🥹
