Solidarity with South Sudan

Solidarity promotes the empowerment of the people of South Sudan for a more just and peaceful society.

We support training of: primary school teachers, nurses, midwives, farmers and pastoral agents. Solidarity with South Sudan is an act of solidarity to respond to the immense and urgent needs in South Sudan. Religious congregations along with lay workers work together towards training teachers, nurses, midwives, local farmers and community leaders in the youngest country in the world. Mission:
Solidarity with South Sudan aims to create self-sustainable educational, health and pastoral institutions and programs that will help to empower South Sudanese people to build a just and peaceful society. Email: [email protected]

✨Making a difference starts with simple gestures. During their school practice activities at Masiya Primary School in Yambio, some students from the Solidarity Teacher Training College cleaned the classroom by sprinkling water on the floor to keep the dust down; they grabbed some paint and brushes and repainted the classroom blackboard, bringing joy and excitement among the children. Training teachers is not just about imparting knowledge: it is about teaching them to look after their environments and communities. Thank you to the Masiya community for their warm welcome and to our future teachers for their daily commitment! 🪮🪣

🩺 Health Education Is Health-System Resilience - While cuts to international funding are putting South Sudan’s healthcare system at risk, training local professionals remains the only sustainable investment to save lives and ensure a future for the country.

More than 100 national healthcare facilities have lost their financial support, leaving entire communities without even the most basic primary care services. In this critical situation, Solidarity with South Sudan’s commitment continues: training local nurses and midwives at CHTI means strengthening the entire healthcare system from the ground up. A scholarship does not only educate one student. It strengthens a health system.
Humanitarian assistance remains essential in times of crisis. But alongside emergency response, South Sudan needs long-term investment in the people who will continue providing care tomorrow.

🌱 From the land to the health of children in South Sudan!
At the Riimenze farm (SAP-R), the Nutrition Programme continues! The farm produces soya butter, moringa and peanut butter: high-nutritional-value supplements designed to boost the immune system and restore energy levels in mothers and children.
Distributed regularly to families with children at risk of malnutrition, these products are already yielding extraordinary results, with marked improvements in their health.
