🐾❤️ Our Red Cross PAWS pup, Sancho, had quite the day yesterday!

Sancho spent the day spreading love and smiles during visits to the hospital and the Area Orientation on Support Site.

With more than 60 interactions, he brought plenty of smiles, comfort, and tail wags to everyone he met! 🥰🐾

We’re so grateful to Sancho for continuing to make a difference, one wagging tail at a time! ❤️🇺🇸

Join us for a free family-focused wellness workshop TOMORROW!

To kick off the school year, the American Red Cross Naples team is hosting a Mindful Movement Family Session after early release on Wednesday, August 19th at the Support Site Community Center. Snacks will be available starting at 2:00 and the 45-minute workshop will start at 2:30!

Mindful Movement workshops teach proactive and in-the-moment tools for stress reduction with a focus on physical mindfullness. Family sessions are intended for children attending with their parent/guardian and teach techniques for handling stressful moments and regulating big feelings.

This workshop is free and registration is not required. Please bring your own yoga mat or towel if possible!

🐾❤️ Does your dog love people? They may have what it takes to become a Red Cross therapy dog!

The American Red Cross PAWS program (also known as AVP) is looking for friendly, well-behaved dogs and their humans to join our volunteer team! 🐶🇺🇸
Our PAWS teams bring comfort, companionship, and a little extra joy to service members, military families, and others in our community through visits to hospitals, military facilities, terminals, and special events.
If your dog is calm, friendly, enjoys meeting new people, and loves getting attention, this could be a wonderful opportunity to make a difference together. You don't need to be a professional dog trainer—just a dedicated owner and a dog who enjoys spreading happiness! ❤️
We currently have volunteer opportunities that include hospital visits, USO terminal visits, visits to military facilities, and special events throughout the year.

Sancho had a very busy morning, with more than 120 interactions at C4I and another 20 at JFC! Some of my favorite comments today were: “I received my therapy,” “Thank you for your service, Sancho,” and “We need to have him here every day!”

After all that hard work, he’s been sleeping all afternoon! ☺️
