In addition to serving as a critical line of communication between U.S service members and their families back home, our Service to the Armed Forces station provides quality of life programs to personnel onboard Naval Support Activity Naples, Italy.

Calling all crafters! 🎨🧶🖌️

Next Tuesday we’ll be hosting our first Cozy Craft Night, and we’d love to see you there!

A beginner crochet lesson (supplies included) will be provided, but all crafting mediums are welcome so bring your current work in progress and connect with other crafters in the community.

🐾❤️ We would like to give a warm welcome to Ella, the newest member of our Red Cross PAWS team!

Ella completed her hospital orientation yesterday and was already a huge hit, with over 40 interactions! 🐶❤️

Ella and her wonderful handler, Carissa, are officially ready to start spreading puppy love, smiles, and comfort throughout our bases. We’re so excited to have them as part of the PAWS family!

🐾❤️ Akira was on the move today! ❤️🐾

Our Red Cross PAWS team member Akira spent the day at the Air Terminal, bringing plenty of tail wags, cuddles, and smiles to our troops! 🇺🇸🐾

Today’s visit was part of a wonderful event organized by USO Naples, giving service members a chance to relax, connect, and enjoy some four-legged therapy along the way. 🐶✈️

Akira was a natural, with more than 40 interactions throughout the event! From excited greetings to quiet moments of comfort, she was happy to make everyone’s day just a little brighter.

A huge thank you to the USO for including our PAWS team and to all the service members who stopped by to spend some time with Akira. ❤️

🐾 Please join us in welcoming Akira to the Naples Red Cross PAWS team! 🐾

Akira had her first hospital visit last week at SS, and she was a natural at this job! 💕 She had more than 50 interactions during her very first visit and received plenty of requests to come back again soon.

We can’t wait to see more of Akira in action as she brings comfort, joy, and a little extra happiness to our troops and families. 🇺🇸🐾

Wilson truly made it a Happy Friday last week for our troops in the C4I building! 🐾💙 He had over 215 interactions inside the building and about 50 interactions just getting to and from the building—and brought smiles to so many along the way! 😊

We managed to snap a few pictures before entering the no-photo zone! 📸🐾

🐾❤️ Our Red Cross PAWS pup, Sancho, had quite the day yesterday!

Sancho spent the day spreading love and smiles during visits to the hospital and the Area Orientation on Support Site.

With more than 60 interactions, he brought plenty of smiles, comfort, and tail wags to everyone he met! 🥰🐾

We’re so grateful to Sancho for continuing to make a difference, one wagging tail at a time! ❤️🇺🇸

Join us for a free family-focused wellness workshop TOMORROW!

To kick off the school year, the American Red Cross Naples team is hosting a Mindful Movement Family Session after early release on Wednesday, August 19th at the Support Site Community Center. Snacks will be available starting at 2:00 and the 45-minute workshop will start at 2:30!

Mindful Movement workshops teach proactive and in-the-moment tools for stress reduction with a focus on physical mindfullness. Family sessions are intended for children attending with their parent/guardian and teach techniques for handling stressful moments and regulating big feelings.

This workshop is free and registration is not required. Please bring your own yoga mat or towel if possible!
