Non avrei voluto ma sono costretta a chiedere aiuto per i mici abbandonati di Ischia. I continui abbandoni di gatti e gattini di ogni età hanno reso la situazione completamente ingestibile! Ogni anno a causa di mancate sterilizzazioni da parte dei privati, centinaia e centinaia di gatti e gattini vengono gettati nelle pinete ischitane. Da qualche tempo, e solo dopo molte insistenze, sono riuscita
ad avere un rifugio dove poter accogliere queste povere anime indifese che altrimenti sarebbero dovute rimanere nelle colonie esterne nelle pinete con probabilità di vita pari a zero! Con tanti sacrifici cerco di accudirli, di curarli, di trovare loro una casa e molti di loro per fortuna ora vivono felici nelle proprie famiglie circondati da cure ed amore. Gestisco adesso un rifugio con attualmente circa 60 gatti tra cuccioli ed adulti, oltre a 3 colonie esterne e tanti altri mici sparsi in ogni dove! Non si riesce più a far fronte a tutte le spese necessarie per sfamarli e dare loro le cure necessarie, la maggior parte viene abbandonata in condizioni pessime. Tante le spese per curarli, sfamarli e sterilizzarli. Innanzitutto chiedo a qualcuno volenteroso che abbia a cuore la sorte di questi poveri mici di aiutare fisicamente al rifugio e nelle colonie, naturalmente di Ischia, che abbia almeno la mattina un po' di tempo da dedicare a loro, poi occorre tutto, cibo per piccoli e grandi, umido e crocchette, medicine (antibiotci, antinfiammatori, cremine per gli occhi, vermifugo), traversine, tutto. Sono centinaia i gatti e gattini che hanno trovato casa dopo essere stati curati e rimessi in sesto. Da sola mi sarebbe impossibile salvarli, per questo ve lo chiedo con il cuore in mano se non fosse necessario non lo avrei fatto, ma la disperazione mi spinge, cerchiamo di salvarne e sterilizzarne il più possibile, vi prego! I didn't want to do it but I feel compelled to ask help for the abandoned cats on the island of Ischia. Continuing abandoning of cats and kittens of any age made the situation completely unbearable! Every year because of lack of neutering by cats owners, hundreds of adult cats and kitten are tossed in pinewoods in Ischia. Only recently, and after a lot of pressure, I have managed to get a shelter where to accommodate these poor defenseless souls that would be otherwise exposed to a hard life on the streets where hopes and chances of survival are close to zero! With many sacrifices I try to look after them, I provide for them veterinary care, I look for a forever home for them and many are lucky enough to have a happy life with their own families surrounded by care and love. I now run a shelter that hosts about 60 cats between kittens and adult, I look after 3 colonies outside and many other cats roaming the streets of Ischia! It has become too hard to meet all the necessary expenses to feed them all and to provide for all of them the right veterinary cares and the majority of the cats are abandoned in awful extreme conditions. Many are the costs for the medicines, for food, for neutering. First of all I am here asking for someone with a heart for these poor cats to volunteer donating a little bit of his/her time to help running the shelter and feeding the cats on the streets. The person/s would need to be from Ischia, obviously, and he or she should at least be available in the morning to dedicate some time to them. Another way to help is donating food, for kittens and adults, dry and wet food, medicine (antibiotics, anti-inflammatory medications, eyes ointments, dewormers), cat beds and anything else that would be helpful in a cat shelter and for the care of cats on the streets. Hundreds are the cats, adults and kittens, that were so lucky to find a forever home after being looked after and received veterinary treatments. Doing all by myself to save them would be impossible and this is why I am here asking for help from the bottom of my heart so that together we can neuter and save as many as we can, I beg of you!
