Our Story
We are the Iraqi-German Human Rights Organization (IGHRO) in Erbil. Our organization is registered in Berlin-Germany and Kurdistan Region-Iraq . The Iraqi-German Human Rights Organization (IGHRO) is an active organization in the humanitarian field. It was established in Berlin, Germany 2005. Since Then, it started helping and supporting refugees and IDPs whenever possible. IGHRO fights against poverty, Illiteracy, famine, gender discrimination and so on. The ultimate objective of our organization is helping needy people getting a better life. Due to the deteriorated social and economical situation in Iraq, The organization stepped in and commenced participating in the charitable and relief issues. Alongside millions of Iraqi IDPs, there is the burden of syrian Refugees, which requires additional efforts of all the governmental and non-governmental institutes to overcome the crisis. Consequently, IGHRO plans to implement both temporary And permanent projects in order to participate in creating a self-sufficient community. IGHRO does neither belong to a political party nor stands for a specific politician. On the contrary, it aims to cooperate with as much local and international institutes and foundations as possible for the sake of IDPs and Refugees all over the world. It tends to provide all types of support with respect to charity, relief and development. The organization supports man, regardless of their country, origin, religion or sect. Humanity is the only criterion that IGHRO relies on when helping a particular group of people.
