The Presidency of the Non-Governmental Organizations Department Holds Meeting with Organizations in Duhok Governorate and the Zakho Independent Administration
With the aim of presenting the latest developments and reducing administrative procedures, the Presidency of the Kurdistan Regional Government's Non-Governmental Organizations Department held a large-scale meeting attended by nearly 150 local and international organizations operating within the boundaries of Duhok Governorate and the Zakho Independent Administration. The meeting was also attended by representatives of the Duhok Governorate and the Zakho Independent Administration.
During the meeting, which witnessed the participation of a large number of organizations, Falah Hassan, Head of the Department, and Hardi Ahmed, Deputy Head of the Department, provided a comprehensive presentation on the most important reforms, improvements, and facilitation measures that the Department has implemented and worked on over the past period.
They also outlined the Department's future plans and programs regarding issues related to the work of organizations, particularly annual financial reports, taxation, social security, and other relevant administrative matters.
A significant part of the meeting was dedicated to listening to the views, observations, feedback, criticism, and recommendations of the participating non-governmental organizations regarding the overall situation of the sector, as well as identifying the main challenges and obstacles facing organizational work.
The Presidency of the Department reaffirmed its commitment to utilizing all available governmental and institutional capacities to create a supportive environment that enables organizations to continue delivering the best possible humanitarian and national services.
The Department of Non-Governmental Organizations also confirmed that, as in the past, it will continue organizing similar meetings across other areas of the Kurdistan Region to further strengthen and support the work of organizations throughout the Region.
