Bringing opportunities to rural villages to learn something new like music brings joy not only to those learning but to the entire community. Thank you University of Michigan CASA for supporting the people of Shyoz with English language classes and music classes.

These students are working on their English languages skills through a course we are supporting in Shyoz. Many people in northern Iraq speak 2-3 languages. English being one of those languages opens to the door to many higher paying employment opportunities.

Congratulations to the students who completed the content creation introductory course located in Bartella and welcoming students from Bartella, Karamlesh, Bashiqa, Bahzani and Baghdeda. Content creation is one of the most valuable skills in today’s digital world, opening doors to employment, entrepreneurship, and countless new opportunities. We’re proud to have equipped young people in the Nineveh Plains with practical skills to create, communicate, and share their stories with the world.

Our next stop was a community of internally displaced families living in Duhok. For more than twelve years, they have been unable to return to their hometowns and are expected to remain here for the foreseeable future. They have rebuilt a beautiful new community surrounding their church. It is a privilege to be able to support them in any way. This project was made possible by and .
