Last week, the Hume Centre team spent a day with Maithreyan and Paulson Raphael. It was a thought-provoking and enriching experience. Our conversations ranged from life and family to democratic values, relationships, and many other aspects of living with purpose. Grateful for the opportunity to coordinate this session and learn alongside an inspiring group of people.

Participatory Rural Appraisal is not merely a tool; it is a way of listening, learning, and working with communities. Happy to join the NAVAM PRA Camp as a Resource Person and engage with future social workers in exploring participatory approaches to development.

Participated in the Sahithyotsav organized by SSF Valakkulam Sector on Saturday evening and had the opportunity to speak about my experiences of working across diverse communities. I also had the chance to witness some of the speech competitions conducted as part of the event.

It was inspiring to see the vision, awareness, and knowledge demonstrated by the young participants, particularly on social and political issues. Their confidence and critical thinking were truly impressive. I hope that, as they continue to engage with diverse perspectives and experiences, their understanding of issues such as gender roles and equality will also evolve over time.

Thank you to SSF Valakkulam Sector for the invitation and warm hospitality.

Had an opportunity to interact with the fellows of the Disom Foundation and its founder, my longtime friend, Biren Bhuta in their camp organised in RASTA, Wayanad. Our discussion spanned a range of topics, from land struggles to human-wildlife interactions. It was truly reassuring to witness fellows from across the country raising their voices for social change and working towards a more just and equitable society.
