The Premkishor Sikchi Charitable Trust (PSCT) was founded by Shri Premkishor Sikchi, whose unwavering belief was simple yet profound: “If you have been blessed with more, you must share it with those who have less.” His dream was to create a self-sustaining model of rural development where dignity, education, healthcare, and livelihoods flourish together.

*Transforming Lives with Maha Aawas Abhiyan - Gramin Yojana*

Another proud moment for Walgaon! On February 23rd, the Government of Maharashtra, in collaboration with the Premkishor Sikchi Charitable Trust, took a significant step towards ensuring housing for all by sanctioning pucca homes to 259 eligible families under the Maha Awas Abhiyan - Gramin yojana.

The event, held at Sikchi Resort, was a testament to the power of effective government policies, right political will and our commitment to help the houseless households and those living in kutcha households in Walgaon with pucca homes and basic amenities.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who made this possible! Let’s continue working together to transform Walgaon into Welgaon!

𝙂𝙖𝙣𝙙𝙝𝙞 𝙅𝙖𝙮𝙖𝙣𝙩𝙞 𝙄𝙣𝙞𝙩𝙞𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙫𝙚: 𝙋𝙧𝙚𝙢𝙠𝙞𝙨𝙝𝙤𝙧 𝙎𝙞𝙠𝙘𝙝𝙞 𝘾𝙝𝙖𝙧𝙞𝙩𝙖𝙗𝙡𝙚 𝙏𝙧𝙪𝙨𝙩 𝙇𝙖𝙪𝙣𝙘𝙝𝙚𝙨 𝙋𝙪𝙗𝙡𝙞𝙘 𝙎𝙖𝙣𝙞𝙩𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝘿𝙧𝙞𝙫𝙚 𝙞𝙣 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙡𝙖𝙧𝙜𝙚𝙨𝙩 𝙨𝙡𝙪𝙢 𝙖𝙧𝙚𝙖 𝙬𝙞𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙣 𝙒𝙖𝙡𝙜𝙖𝙤𝙣.

In line with the “𝘾𝙡𝙚𝙖𝙣 𝙄𝙣𝙙𝙞𝙖, 𝙂𝙧𝙚𝙚𝙣 𝙄𝙣𝙙𝙞𝙖" mission, and on the occasion of Mahatma Gandhi's birth anniversary, Premkishor Sikchi Charitable Trust has embarked on a mission to transform the sanitation landscape of Satinagar, Walgaon's largest slum area. This initiative aims to create a cleaner, healthier environment for approximately 1800 slum dwellers.

𝙆𝙚𝙮 𝙃𝙞𝙜𝙝𝙡𝙞𝙜𝙝𝙩𝙨
- Distribution of 350 dustbins to every slum dweller family
- Custom-designed garbage collection cycles for narrow lanes
- Daily garbage collection from each house/shanty
- Collaboration with volunteer team from slum dwellers for seamless ex*****on
- Proper disposal at designated dumping ground

𝘼𝙙𝙙𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙨𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝘾𝙧𝙞𝙩𝙞𝙘𝙖𝙡 𝙄𝙨𝙨𝙪𝙚𝙨:
- Eradication of roadside garbage, reducing health and environmental hazards (pics of Satinagar roadsides included for reference)
- Maintenance of garbage-free roadsides
- Empowering Community Engagement: fostering a sense of ownership and responsibility among slum dwellers.

This initiative follows a previous plantation drive near the Walgaon railway station. We’re proud to honour Gandhiji's legacy by serving the most underprivileged community within Walgaon and promoting a cleaner, greener and a more sustainable environment.

𝐂𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐈𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐩𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐈𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐜𝐭

On the occasion of Independence Day, Premkishor Sikchi Charitable Trust hosted two impactful events at Sikchi Resort.

𝐀𝐠𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐄𝐱𝐡𝐢𝐛𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: 𝐖𝐢𝐥𝐝 𝐕𝐞𝐠𝐞𝐭𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞𝐬 𝐌𝐚𝐡𝐨𝐭𝐬𝐚𝐯
An agricultural fair and exhibition in collaboration with Agri Technology Management Agency, showcasing and promoting 40 different types of regional wild vegetables, their medicinal/health benefits and recipes. The event was attended by over 500 farmers and participants from 40 different blocks of Amravati district.
The event was inaugurated by 𝐇𝐨𝐧. 𝐆𝐮𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐢𝐚𝐧 𝐌𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐀𝐦𝐫𝐚𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐢, 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐫𝐚𝐤𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐃𝐚𝐝𝐚 𝐏𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐥 and attended by:
- Hon. Shri. Anilji Bonde, M.P. Rajyasabha
- District Collector Hon. Sourabhji Katiyar
- Joint Director of Agriculture, Hon. Kisanji Mule
- Project Director, ATMA, Ms. Archanaji Nistane

𝐅𝐫𝐞𝐞 𝐄𝐲𝐞 𝐄𝐱𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐂𝐚𝐦𝐩
A free eye examination camp was conducted in collaboration with Mahatme Eye Bank and Eye Hospital for under-income village residents of Walgaon, where over 200 people attended and received detailed eye examinations. 45 residents were provided with free prescription eye glasses as part of the initiative.

Followed by a very ceremonious flag-hoisting and children's cultural program at the Premkishor Sikchi High School premises.

Our deepest gratitude to Gurudev Sri Sri Ravishankar ji for gracing Sikchi Resort and Premkishor Sikchi Charitable Trust with His Holi presence.

It was an honor and a privilege to be in the Divine presence of Gurudev whose teachings have touched millions of lives worldwide.

It was an extraordinary, unparalleled experience as he gave darshan to everyone, from pedestrians standing outside on the roads to all of us gathered within the resort. Even amidst his busy schedule, Gurudev took the time to engage in satsang and sadhana with us. He emphasized the importance of getting back to our true source and to celebrate life in every moment.

Under his guidance, Premkishor Sikchi Charitable Trust will continue the mission of well-being for Walgaon and surrounding communities through Art of Living programs and conduct more focussed nature conservation initiatives such as river restoration and tree plantations within Walgaon.

Gurudev's mantra for living a fulfilling life through- "satsang, sadhana, and seva" - will forever remain etched in our hearts.

Premkishor Sikchi Charitable Trust, in collaboration with Sri Sri Ravi Shankar Rural Development Program set up the first-ever Professional Skills Development Center for the rural youth in Walgaon, Maharashtra. 


The aim is to offer National Skills Development Centre (NSDC) certified diplomas and courses to the rural youth of Walgaon and Vidarbha region so that they can be empowered towards sustainable livelihoods.

The Centre was inaugurated by the Agricultural Minister of Maharashtra, ji and Dr. Anil Bonde ji, MLA, Maharashtra who are true champions for such causes.

This couldn’t have been possible without the relentless efforts of Sachin Malkar ji and Ashok Nanotkar ji, who have been managing the Art of Living trainings for the Sikchi Charitable Trust and the active support from AOL SSRDP Trustee Shri Merani ji. The Trust has so far completed more than 50 Happiness, Advanced and YLTP (Youth Leadership Training) Programs through the Walgaon centre.

This is another feather in the cap of Premkishor Sikchi Charitable Trust that holds the mission of putting Walgaon on the map of India as a model village.
