Recently, a cow, along with what appeared to be a month-old calf, was abandoned by a dairy farm owner and left to starve. The following day, the cow was found in critical condition, covered in numerous cuts on its back, neck, legs, and likely across its entire body, as if struck by a sharp blade or spearhead. Despite these severe injuries, the cow survived. Immediate care was provided, including the administration of Finalye to eliminate worms from the wounds, along with pain relief and healing tablets. Thankfully, the cow now appears to be in good health.
So, I often think, why do people often blame the government for societal failures in preventing animal cruelty? Is it due to the reasons listed below?
1-> Lack of Awareness: People are unaware of their own role in addressing animal cruelty.
2-> Easier to Blame: It’s easier to hold the government accountable than to take personal responsibility.
3-> Inadequate Laws: People believe the government should enforce stricter animal protection laws.
4-> Distrust in Authorities: There is a general lack of trust in the government’s ability to address such issues.
5-> Cultural Norms: Society tends to overlook its own cultural practices that contribute to cruelty.
This can be easily taken care of by simply:
• Promoting Education and Awareness
• Encouraging Community Involvement
• Supporting Animal Welfare Organizations
• Fostering Compassion and Ethical Practices
Animals play a crucial role in ecosystems by maintaining balance through predator-prey relationships, pollination, and seed dispersal. They contribute to nutrient cycling and help regulate populations of other species, ensuring the health and stability of their environments. So, be responsible and kind as much as you can.
