Strengthening Dairy Livelihoods Through Community Engagement

A field visit to interact with dairy farmers, understand their challenges, and discuss opportunities to improve dairy productivity and farmers’ livelihoods. 🐄 Empowering Shwetdhara farmers through Knowledge & Awareness.

Ananda Foundation cluster cordinator conducted a training session for SD farmers focusing on two important aspects of livestock health and productivity:

🔹 Deworming Tablets – Importance of timely and appropriate deworming to help manage internal parasites and support better animal health.

🔹 Ananda Cattle Feed and Mineral Mixture – Awareness about the role of essential minerals in improving overall nutrition, reproductive health, immunity, and productivity of dairy animals.

The session focused on practical knowledge that farmers can apply in their dairy farming practices.

Jovita Milk Producer Company Limited, an FPC promoted under project Shwetdhara, successfully conducted it’s 3rd Annual General Meeting on 25th Sep 2026 at Ratlam.

The AGM brought together our shareholders, Board of Directors, and other stakeholders to review the company’s progress, achievements, and future priorities.

Key highlights of the AGM included.

An important initiative by Shwetdhara program in which FPC - Jovita Milk Producer Company Limited, where Gram Sakhi’s are facilitating doorstep delivery of cattle feed and livestock products directly to farmers.

During the visit to the village Inayatpur, Agra Uttar Pradesh, Met with one Farmer Mr. Shyam Sundar Tomar during a community meeting, where we discussed with all the participants about good practices of Dairy Farming. Also told them about benefits of good cattle feed, balanced diet, about some basic diseases and how to cure them with basic home remedies.

Farmer Experience
Bhagwati Devi has been associated with Ananda Foundation for the past two years and has been consistently using Cattle Feed for her cattle. She has observed positive results from the feed, particularly in terms of milk production and the overall performance and health of her cattle.
She is very satisfied with the quality of Cattle Feed as well as the services provided by the Ananda Foundation team. She shared that the team from Agra PVK (Pashu Vikas Kendra) regularly visits her farm and provides valuable guidance on good dairy management practices, cattle nutrition, and overall dairy development.
The regular technical support and guidance from the PVK team, along with the consistent use of Cattle Feed, have helped her improve the overall management and productivity of her dairy farm.
