Empowering young minds through science, innovation, and climate resilience 🌱🔬

FLO Northeast successfully conducted Batch 2 of the STEM Immersion and Climate Resilience Learning Series in collaboration with IIT Guwahati, welcoming 50 students from Mayong into an immersive world of practical learning and problem-solving.

Students were introduced to science concepts through Virtual Reality (VR), where academic chapters were transformed into engaging, video game-like learning experiences, making STEM education more interactive, accessible, and exciting.

Through hands-on STEM-based activities and a unique physics-and-logic-driven flood resilience simulation, students explored how science can be used to build safer, smarter, and future-ready communities.

The initiative was led under the leadership of FLO Northeast Chairperson Pronita Baruva, with Avantika Gupta serving as the Project Lead for the STEM Initiative.

Because education becomes truly powerful when it inspires solutions for the real world. ✨

FICCI FLO Northeast successfully hosted Kaziranga Calling, a rejuvenating members’ retreat held on 22nd–23rd May amidst the serene landscapes of Kaziranga.

Designed as a refreshing escape from busy schedules, the retreat brought together FLO members for two days of relaxation, connection, and unforgettable experiences. Surrounded by nature’s beauty, members had the opportunity to recharge, reconnect, and strengthen friendships while creating cherished memories together.

From the scenic journey and shared meals to engaging conversations, laughter, and moments of reflection, the retreat offered the perfect balance of leisure and camaraderie. The tranquil setting of Kaziranga provided an ideal backdrop for members to unwind and return inspired.

Under the leadership of Chairperson Pronita Baruva, Kaziranga Calling was a resounding success, embodying the true spirit of the FLO sisterhood and the retreat theme — Recharge. Reconnect. Renew.

FICCI FLO Northeast, in association with The Luxe Code, successfully organized Flo Fiesta Exhibition on 16th May at Arista by Ambition Hotel, bringing together fashion, lifestyle, creativity, and entrepreneurship on one dynamic platform.

The exhibition was inaugurated by Guest of Honour Queen Oja and graced by Chief Guest Nish*ta Goswami. Featuring 30 curated exhibitors from different states across India, the event showcased an exclusive range of designer apparel, jewellery, handcrafted products, and lifestyle collections.

Witnessing an overwhelming response with 700+ visitors, Flo Fiesta recorded exceptional footfall and remarkable sales for exhibitors, reaffirming the growing demand for curated fashion and lifestyle experiences in the region.

Under the leadership of Pronita Baruva, the event beautifully embodied FLO’s vision of “The Power to Empower” by creating meaningful business opportunities, supporting entrepreneurs, and contributing towards women welfare initiatives.

FICCI FLO Northeast successfully organized an Eye Camp in association with Guwahati Netralaya, furthering its commitment to accessible healthcare and community service.

The camp, led by Dr. Anil Agarwal from Guwahati Netralaya, focused on cataract screening and essential eye care services, benefiting residents from Rangpur Nagar, Ujjal Nagar, Anil Nagar, Rajah Nagar, and Police Colony. Held at Rangpur Nagar LP School, the initiative witnessed enthusiastic participation and meaningful outreach.

Adding to its impact, the event also received media coverage by Prag News, highlighting the importance of such community-driven healthcare initiatives.
