🚀 DON’T JUST WATCH OUR CHILDREN GROW—HELP THEM GROW WITH CONFIDENCE!

The Children’s Club at Mawknor is a step towards empowering every child to come forward, participate, play, learn and proudly show their skills. 🌟

Through teamwork and activities, children learn important values like confidence, leadership, friendship, responsibility and respect.

With the support of parents and community leaders, let’s create more opportunities for our children to explore their talents and believe in themselves.

Every child has a gift. Every child has potential. Every child deserves a chance. ❤️

🌱 Let’s raise confident children who will build a stronger community tomorrow!

Let’s change our mindset. ❤️

Don’t judge them. Don’t hate them because of the work they do. Respect them. They are doing a difficult job that many of us would not be willing to do.

If you see a sanitation worker working without proper gloves or protective gear, don’t just walk past. If you can, give them what they need. A pair of gloves, a mask, a raincoat—or simply a kind word and a heartfelt “Thank you.”

They need our support, respect, and kindness.
Let’s treat them with dignity. They serve us every day. 🙏❤️

Let’s all join hands! 🤝🌿

One shopkeeper in Umsning is showing us the way towards a cleaner, healthier community. 🧹✨ His simple step is a powerful example that change begins with each one of us.

Let’s follow his example, take action, and work together to make Umsning RiBhoi District cleaner, healthier, and better for everyone! 💚

RAWA Meets New DC of Ri-Bhoi, Raises Urgent Concern Over Umsning Landfill

RAWA under leadership of Smt.Balakyntiew Umbah President, Shri Samuel Shangdiar Secretary and other members met Dr. Abhishek Saini, IAS, Deputy Commissioner of Ri-Bhoi, during our meeting and raised the serious issue of the persistent foul smell from the landfill at Umsning Patarim, especially the area near Sati Raja Memorial Secondary School, affecting the students, teachers, and everyone living close to the dumping site.

RAWA highlighted that the issue has been repeatedly brought to the attention of the concerned authorities, but a permanent solution is urgently needed. The foul smell has become a serious concern for the health and well-being of the school children and the nearby community.

The Deputy Commissioner assured us that he would look into the matter and explore intervention through the Swachh Bharat Mission, including proper waste segregation and management, to address the issue at its root.

RAWA appreciates the DC's positive response and looks forward to meaningful action for a cleaner, safer, and healthier Umsning Patarim. 🙏
