Kshamtalaya is a non-profit organisation founded to support school children in disadvantaged settings so that they develop into socially and economically active young adults. We intervene to improve school enrolment, attendance, academic outcomes and life prospects for the students in rural and marginalised settings. We want to actualize a rural India in which children successfully make a transition from compulsory school education to life afterwards and go on to live happy and productive lives.

In an intense and heartfelt conversation, Rekha shared her pain of seeing grade 8 children struggle to read at the beginning of the year. And then she chose to act.

Today, as a Program Facilitator with Project Diganth working with secondary schools - while completing her BSTC in parallel - she is ensuring children read, learn, and move forward.

Rekha is what belief in local youth looks like in action - shaping educational outcomes in rural Rajasthan.
