Dear friends,❤️

The organization ‘Solace’, which works in Kerala to support children with serious illnesses and their families, receives tremendous support from Solace Charities which operates across six states in the United States.

Solace in Kerala and Solace in America are not two different organizations — **they are one and the same.** ❤️

The work carried out in America is an expression of the care and compassion of good-hearted people who come together to support children and families in Kerala who are suffering because of illness.

Funds are raised through programs and events organized once or twice a year across these six states.

**On October 18, a Solace program will be held in Dallas.** 🇺🇸❤️

If you have relatives or friends living in Dallas or nearby, please share this information with them and encourage them to be part of this meaningful humanitarian initiative.

**A small act of kindness from us can become a great source of hope and support for a child and a family in need.** ❤️🙏🏼

I’m really excited to reveal the cover of 'Desi Dreams, American Reality', the new book by my longtime friend Rajalakshmi (Raji Menon) She runs an institution named 'Gurukulam' in USA. Gurukulam focuses on everything one expects from an educational institution—ranging from fostering leadership qualities in children to enhancing their communication skills.

Children in families arriving in America often find themselves caught between two cultures, confused and unsure of their identity.. Their parents too hesitate, wondering whether guiding them might amount to interfering with their sense of independence..
Such thoughts about the shaping of children’s character are what lie behind Raji’s work..
Perhaps this book too is a continuation of that.
The theme of the book Desi Dreamട American Reality is also a somewhat deeper study of these thoughts..
For those who acquire this book, it will certainly be both a reference book and a valuable asset..
The book will be launched on September 26 at the ALA (Art Lovers of America) festival venue in San Francisco.

Today, August 27, marks 13 years since our Neelumoḷ has been gone from our sight. However, my belief and experience is that she is with me every moment. Whenever I see the troubled children and their parents I interact with, Neelu shines in my heart like an unquenchable flame!

That is how the weight of my mind becomes as light as a feather, and the tenderness within me becomes my strength... I feel complete..!

This is a fascinating sight I came across during an unforgettable trip to the Mountain areas with Akash Kudilil and Manju the last time I visited.

Even in a country filled with the most modern buildings, if you travel into the interior and rural areas, you can still come across many sights like this. Interesting to see and understand!
If you travel from Charlotte, North Carolina, along the Blue Ridge Parkway, you can see this tower at the Groundhog Mountain picnic spot.

This wooden observation tower was built in 1942 by the Virginia Forest Service. It is said that structures like these were originally built to keep watch over the to***co barn, which were once widespread throughout America.

The fence around it is also quite fascinating. A traditional-style fence, whose construction began in 1939, can still be seen there today..!!

Today is Sanu Mash's remembrance day. 🙏🏼❤️
Words can never fully capture the memories I have of Sanu Mash.

Our bond spanned two generations, with memories reaching back to my earliest childhood.

But when I decided to start Solace, that relationship took on a whole new meaning.

For the past 19 years, he was not just a father figure and a mentor, but someone who showered us with immense blessings, carried Solace in his heart, and took great pride in saying, "My daughter is doing something truly meaningful."

Even today, both Solace and I move forward with the unwavering belief that his blessings continue to be with us. ❤️🙏🏼
