Poorna Sree Balika Sadanam is housed next to Parasurama temple, Thiruvallam, famous for ‘bali tharpans’. At present there are about 35 inmates of the age of four to twenty two years. The institute concentrates on education and self-sufficiency of the inmates. We build them and train them to stand on their own legs. Yoga, Upanishads, Sanskrit are chanted and included in the everyday routine activit
ies. Students go to schools in the city. They attend classes from Kindergarten to professional courses. Their income solely depends on generous donations. The donations are exempted from Income Tax as per rule 80G.(5)(VI)E.-No 302/80G. SBT Acc No: 67082185409 (SBT Chalai Branch Trivandrum)

Annadanam Mahadanam
The location is very ideal for the devotees of Parasurama temple for paying a visit. The Parasurama temple is famous for ‘bali tharpan’, where the myth says that the bali on Karkidaka Vavu day is equivalent to 365 balis throughout the year. In Hindu mythology, it is believed that the forefathers would descend from heaven to receive the ‘bali tharpan’ and in return, will bless their successors in this world. The ‘bali tharpan’ becomes complete only when followed by Annadana. The devotees are requested to donate generously for Annadana in the Sadanam.
