With profound sorrow and deep shock, we mourn the untimely demise of Lion Suresh Kumar V, a beloved member of the Trivandrum South Lions Club.

He was a truly wonderful person, a very good friend, and a wise advisor to many. LCTK had the privilege of sharing many warm and brotherly conversations with him, moments that will always be cherished.

His presence, guidance, and commitment to service will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Heartfelt condolences and prayers 🙏

May the Almighty grant strength and comfort to his family and loved ones to overcome this immense loss.

Living by this powerful thought, the Lions Club of Kowdiar, Trivandrum has contributed its small yet meaningful part by sponsoring a one-day meal for patients and bystanders at RCC, Medical College, Thiruvananthapuram.
This initiative is a part of the ongoing Relieving Hunger campaign of Lions District 318 A, titled “അന്നം സ്നേഹപൂർവം”, under which nutritious meals are prepared and distributed to the needy, 365 days a year since 2016–17.
We extend our sincere gratitude to our Chater member, Ln. P T Thomas n his spouse Mrs Renuka Thomas for generously sponsoring this meaningful program.
This marks LCTK’s seventh Relieving Hunger initiative of the Lionistic Year 2025–26, reaffirming our commitment to serving humanity with compassion and dedication.

“Through healing hands and caring hearts, Lions Club of Trivandrum Kowdiar continues to roar in service.”

With immense pride and gratitude, we are happy to share that the *MEGA MEDICAL CAMP* organised by Lions Club of Trivandrum, Kowdiar was conducted successfully today at CSI District Church Parish Hall, Pereyam.

🙏 Heartfelt thanks to our medical partners *SP Medifort Hospital* and *Al Hiba Eye Hospital* for their dedicated support and professional service.

🩺 Numerous beneficiaries availed free medical check-ups including ECG, blood tests, diabetic screening, cardiology consultation, vision testing and more. The smiles and gratitude of the people we served are the true rewards of this mission.

👏 Sincere appreciation to our Chief Guests, *MJF Ln. Radhakrishnan*, our beloved Region Chairperson, for inaugurating the camp.

Special thanks to *Rev. C Japaraj, Dis. Chairman CSI Perayam, C Signi Member, Nanniyode Panchayath and M Jayakumar* secretary District Council, Pereyam for their support and assistance for the project.

District 318 A's 'WALK WITH US', a collective walk towards a drug-free future! 🏃‍♀️, marked the valediction of the project, Prevention of Drug Abuse.

Held at Kowdiar, TVPM on 27th Feb 2026, the event saw participation from esteemed guests like Hon Governor of Kerala, Sri Rajendra Viswanath Arlekar,
Hon Minister for General Education and Labour, Sri V Sivankutty,
Lion leaders including PID PMJF Lion Er. R Murugan,
Jnt Excise Commissioner Sri R Gopakumar and other dignitaries.

LCTK members, led by ZC MJF Lion Er Nandan Gopinath, joined the initiative, along with Club Secretary Ln Er Anilkumar, Treasurer Ln Santhosh Kumar, Second VP Ln Manoharan, and Director Board Members Ln Vipin & Ln Muraleedharan

The Lions Club of Trivandrum, Kowdiar sponsored a one-day meal for patients and bystanders at RCC, Medical College Hospital, Thiruvananthapuram.
This initiative is part of the ongoing Relieving Hunger campaign of Lions District 318 A, titled “അന്നം സ്നേഹപൂർവം”, under which nutritious meals have been prepared and distributed to the needy 365 days a year since 2016–17.

We extend our sincere gratitude to our President, MJF Ln. Er. Thanumalayan, and First Lady Ln. Rathi Thanumalayan for generously sponsoring this meaningful program.

The Lions Club of Kowdiar celebrated its Charter Day and hosted the official visit of the Vice District Governors on November 22, 2025, at Mannam Memorial Hall, Thiruvananthapuram. During the event, the club honored its Charter President, MJF Lion Dr. Churchin Ben, and Charter Members Lion Ebenizer and Lion P.T. Thomas.

The ceremony was addressed by First Vice District Governor of District 318A, PMJF Lion Er. Anil Kumar V, and Second Vice District Governor, PMJF Lion Adv. R.V. Biju. CLL President MJF Lion Jayasree Gopalakrishnan was a special invitee. The event was presided over by MJF Lion Dr. Salini Sasikumar, in the presence of Region Chairperson MJF Lion K. Radhakrishnan and Zone Chairperson MJF Lion Er. Nandan Gopinath.

Two humanitarian projects were highlighted during the event. Firstly, the First Vice District Governor handed over a cheque to the Zone Chairperson, providing financial support for a needy pediatric patient. Additionally, the Council of Lion Ladies' project to procure a water tank was supported through another cheque, which was handed over by CLL Club Coordinator, Lion Jayalekha Anilkumar, to the CLL President

Lions club of Trivandrum, Kowdiar conducted Peace Poster contest at HSS for Girls, Venganoor. The programme was inaugurated by President MJF Thanumalayan in the presence of Reji Ummer DC Peace Poster, Region Chairman

Kalalayam Anil participated in the function. Around 50 students participated and prizes were distributed to the winners by our President.

Though teaching is considered as the most noble profession, we know that Teaching can sometimes be a thankless job, so today on teachers day, we take this opportunity to *Thank* some of our beloved Teachers 🙏

Today on *Teachers Day* Lions Club of Trivandrum Kowdiar, honored, 2 veterans from fields of Education. We personally met the following Teachers n honoured them at their respective residences.
1. Dr. K Surendran
Professor of Department of Electrical Engineering(Rtd),
College of Engineering, Trivandrum

2. Prof. C K Upendran
Professor of Department of
Civil Engineering (Rtd)
College of Engineering, Trivandrum.

Both these teachers were very delighted to share with us, their experiences as teachers & mentors.

Happy that LCTK members could be a part of their happiness as they cherished their memories.

On this Teachers Day we remember all our teachers with great respect and gratitude 🙏
