May 2nd, 2024, marked a momentous occasion for the NAK Foundation as we celebrated the inauguration of our first government-supported project. Teaming up with the Office of Inspector of Schools', Sonitpur District, Government of Assam, we embarked on an ambitious endeavor to promote road safety awareness.

Covering 40 schools located near highways, within a span of two months, this project entails the installation of eye-catching banners featuring prominent road signs, along with imparting essential dos and don'ts of road safety to students. Through impactful sessions, we aim to instill a culture of road safety among students, empowering them to be ambassadors of safe driving practices in their communities.

Amidst rising accidents in the state, the Government of Assam has launched a massive drive to enhance road safety awareness. We are honored to contribute to this vital initiative in Sonitpur District.

The project was officially inaugurated by Honorable ADC, Sonitpur Mr. Pranjit Kumar Deb, Assistant Commissioner Sonitpur Ms. Iris Arman Ahmad, DTO Sonitpur, and Inspector of Schools' Mr. Mridul Kumar Nath. Their presence, alongside the Principal, staff members, and 250 students of Haleswar HS School, added to the significance of the occasion.

The NAK Foundation commemorated International Women's Day 2024 with a vibrant celebration, hosting a competition that brought together participants of all age groups. This spirited event was made possible by the regional business office of the State Bank of India, Tezpur, and received generous support from Amul Milk, Munna Automobiles, and the Apurba Bezbaruah Nyas.

The premises of Sishu Bharatiya Vidyala (Mahila Samiti Bhawan) bustled with excitement as 120 participants from various age brackets gathered to showcase their talents. The rewards were thoughtfully categorized into "Best Art" and "Remarkable Art" for Groups A, B, and C, aligning with different age classifications.

A diverse array of rewards awaited the participants, ranging from cash prizes and gift hampers to certificates of recognition. Adding a unique touch to the occasion, special attention was drawn to the distribution of saplings of the "Kaji Nemu," the designated state fruit of Assam. This initiative aimed to promote the cultivation of this fruit and foster environmental consciousness among attendees.

The esteemed panel of judges comprised renowned veterans in their respective fields: Shri Bapdhan Kalita and Smt Nabanita Sarmah of Tezpur.

The second program of by NAK Foundation was held on the occasion of International Women's Day, March 8th, 2024, at Inspire Academy.
Dr Sumita Gogoi from Dorika Hospital Dorika Hospitals, initiated her presentation by addressing overlooked aspects of intimate health and hygiene. She delivered a comprehensive presentation on the topic. She tackled prevalent misconceptions, highlighted commonly overlooked issues, and engaged in a one-on-one Q&A session with a group comprising around 100 students and female staff members.

This past Sunday, February 11th, 2024, the Nak Foundation marked a significant milestone with the inaugural session of its its project: Mission Her Health. 🎉

We were thrilled to host an awareness program at Tezpur University, focusing on "Female Intimate Hygiene & Health"

Dr. Sumita Gogoi, MD OBGYN from Dorika Hospitals, graced us with her expertise, delivering invaluable insights on *UTIs*, *PCOD*, *Endometriosis*, and *Fungal Infections* affecting intimate areas.

The session, attended by approximately 100 female students, was not just informative but also engaging! They actively participated in a one-on-one Q&A session, debunking myths and finding solutions to common issues.

But the learning didn't stop there! Members from Star Health Insurance shed light on the importance of health insurance for females, emphasizing the need for comprehensive healthcare coverage.

A big shoutout to the NSS wing of Tezpur University for facilitating this impactful program!

On a serene December Sunday (10th December, 2023), a FREE orthopedic health camp dedicated to the women of Pubthoria Gaon in Koliabor, Assam, was conducted by Orthocare Hospitals in Tezpur. The camp aimed to provide support to women coping with diverse joint-related ailments, such as early arthritis, osteoporosis, back pain, spondylitis, and other discomforts. Families joined the women in attending the camp, where a proficient team of doctors and medical personnel from Orthocare Hospitals conducted calcium density tests, blood sugar assessments, blood pressure checks, offered free consultations, and distributed medications. Approximately 100 patients availed themselves of the camp's services.
This event was a part of "Mission her health" facilitated by NAK Foundation, an NGO based in Tezpur, through which they aim to reach 1000 women addressing their diverse health concerns.
