Equip Foundation is having it's registered office in Tirukoilur, a small town in Villupuram District, in the South-Indian state of Tamil Nadu. The initial idea was conceived by a group of professionals who had the zeal and thriving force to equip the deprived community to make them self sustained to cater their needs. These pioneers were fervor for the deprived community, shared a deep sense of so
cial responsibility, and had an illuminating strong desire to address the needs of the downtrodden people. The uncontrollable desires and passion of these professionals forced them to start their journey towards empowering the community and these activists started equipping the community by the possible means and funds with a strong belief “ Tiny gear is mightier than a prickly sword”
The Equip Foundation mainly toils to address the basic needs of the society focusing on seven major thematic areas. In all of the developmental activities, equip foundation adopts the integrated equipping approach towards development and to alleviate problems through equipping the people on their own assets. Initially it has implementations in only one province in Tamil Nadu, India and later on extended in to the adjacent provinces also.
