With profound grief and sorrow, we announce the passing of Ghulam Mohammad Sheikh, son of Ghulam Ahmad Sheikh, resident of Safa Kadal, and beloved father of Muneeb Sheikh (Footballer, JK Football Academy/JKFC).

Fateh Khawani will be offered at the ancient graveyard at Fakeer Malguzar, Waniyar, on Friday at 2:30 PM.

The entire Sher-e-Khas Sports Fraternity, JK Football Academy Eidgah, and JK Football Club extend their heartfelt condolences to Muneeb and his family during this difficult time.

May his soul rest in eternal peace, and may Allah grant strength and patience to the bereaved family.

Chairman of Sheher-e-Khaas Sports Fraternity, Mr. Pervaiz Sidiq, presided over a high-level meeting today to address the state of sports in the region, with a special focus on football. The meeting brought together prominent officials and stakeholders of the SK Sports Fraternity, marking a significant step toward revitalizing the local sports ecosystem.

The discussions were extensive and productive, leading to key resolutions for advancing sports infrastructure and addressing player welfare. A central topic of the meeting was the grievances and welfare of J&K Forest Club players. The fraternity resolved to collaborate with the Honourable Chief Minister of J&K UT, the Commissioner Secretary of Forests, and other senior officials to ensure these issues are tackled efficiently and effectively.

The development of sports facilities in Sheher-e-Khaas (Downtown) was identified as a top priority. The fraternity emphasized its unwavering commitment to fostering talent and pledged to leave no stone unturned in creating better opportunities for sportspersons, including avenues for employment and career progression.

In his concluding remarks, Mr. Sidiq expressed heartfelt gratitude to all members of the SK Sports Fraternity for their invaluable contributions and proactive suggestions. Madam Nuzhat Gull has done enormous work in sports development, especially in football. She has never stopped funds for nationals; instead, she facilitated seven coaching courses and several referee courses here. She has been instrumental in the resurrection of football in J&K UT.
