IGNITE SIVAKASI - We INITIATE, We INSPIRE, We Innovate

Being the Chair of Young Indians Yi Sivakasi (Yi), this year has been an incredible and rewarding experience. It has been a journey filled with teamwork, learning, and creating a positive impact on society.

Our Annual Day was graced by Rtn.Dhinesh Babu , Rotary District Governor 2025-26 and Dr.Ramya Dhinesh and by the SRTN Regional Chair Mr.Vishal Mehta & our Chapter Mentor Mr.Sevugan.

In this moment I thank my past chair Dinesh Agarwal for his total support and guidance and my best wishes to the new incoming leadership Parirajan and Yuvanath. I am sure you guys r gonna rock!

This experience has been transtormative for me personally, for our Yi chapter, and for Sivakasi as a whole. It has taught me the importance of leadership, empathy, and perseverance.

I feel privileged to have been part of this journey and I am confident that Yi Sivakasi will continue to inspire and bring in meaningful change for years to come. It has truly been an honor to lead this organisation.

With loads of memories, fun, friendships, I celebrate this unforgettable journey of transformation in the years to come. Yi Sivakasi will always be my extended family.

The Yi Run 2024 for Mental Health Awareness in Sivakasi was a resounding success! Held on November 24th, 2024, from 6 to 8 am, the event saw an impressive 1850+ registered members participating.

The run was inaugurated by esteemed guests, including the Superintendent of Police, Deupty Superintendent of Police, and Sub-Collector of Sivakasi.
The participants came from diverse backgrounds, including
Yi Members (35),
Thalir students (890),
Yuva students (110),
Rural people (46),
Accessibility kids (50),
Other participants (719)

The event's impact was significant, creating a ripple effect of mental health awareness in the community. A pivotal moment was the mental health awareness speech delivered by Mrs. Sadhana Dharmaraj, Founder of Manam Counselling Studio. She stressed the importance of breaking the silence and speaking out about mental health.
Mental health oath was taken by the Yi members along with 2000 public people on the day of the event .

*Yi Run 2024: Empowering Specially Abled Children*

On November 24th, 2024, Yi Run 2024, in association with Accessibility children, successfully conducted a unique run under the inspiring theme "WHY NOT I". This event aimed to promote mental health awareness among special children.

*Key Highlights:*

- 50 specially able children participated in the run.
- 27 students from CSI Deaf and Dumb Higher Secondary School and 23 students from Child Guidance Autism School took part.
- The event was flagged off by the Sub Collector of Sivakasi.
- Yi Sivakasi members joined the run alongside the special children.
- Participants received medals and certificates for their involvement in promoting mental health awareness.

This heartwarming event celebrated the spirit of inclusivity and empowerment, promoting mental health awareness among special children.

*Empowering Autism Kids through Talent Showcase " SPEECH AND DANCE FEST*

Yi Sivakasi, in collaboration with Child Guidance Academy, successfully hosted a Speech and Dance Fest for 52 autism kids. This unique event aimed to encourage the children to showcase their talents and provided them with a valuable stage show experience.

The program was expertly judged by Dr. DJ Sundarapandi, MD, DCH, a renowned and trained Autism Specialist.

This initiative offered a platform for autism kids to confidently face society, highlighting their exceptional talents and abilities. By promoting inclusivity and empowerment, we strive to create a more compassionate and supportive community.

Yi Dindugal visited Yi Sivakasi on the 16th of October 2024 for a Cross Chapter visit.

It was a day filled with a lot of idea exchanges, interesting discussions and lots of laughter!

Thanks to Sonny Vignesh and Amar for accommodating us for the Sony Sparklers factory visit. Mr.Amarnath spent a solid two hours explaining all the processes!

In the 2nd half of the day, Yi Dindigul visited our Co-Chair Mr.Parirajan”s MTC Polymers & learnt about the art of flexible packaging industry. We had a YiBE Session at the end of the day.

Thanks to our Learning Chair Bala, Yuvanath and Chair Nataraj for coordinating. Thanks to Mohit, Senthil Visak, Ayush and Saranya who joined the visit.

Yi Dindigul team was so happy and invited us for a Cross Chapter.

We gave our guests delicacies of our district Sattur Sevu and Karupatti Mittai from Shunumuganadar Mittai Kadai, Kovilpatti Kadalaimittai, Srivilliputtur Paalkova and Coronation Cake!

Yi Sivakasi members had the privilege to participate in a Membership Event organised by Yi Madurai titled “Wolf of Wall Street”. Mr.Mukundan, Mr.Ayush, Mr.Mohit, Mr.Adheen & Chapter Chair Mr.Shanmuga Nataraj participated in the event, which was into trading of shares. We gained rich knowledge in this event.
