Since inception the parishad is mobilizing public opinion to come forward to impress upon the Silchar municipality and other Govt. Departments who are responsible for providing basic civic amenities to the citizens of Silchar town in particular and in bringing redressal of multifaceted problems of Barak Valley in general.
