Across villages this January, Animal Rahat was there for animals who needed help the most, treating the injured, rescuing those in distress, and working hand in hand with communities to bring lasting change. Through school programs, workshops, and conversations, we planted the seeds of empathy and compassion for animals.

This year’s Chinchali fair concluded with a powerful message of compassion. Thousands of devotees chose modern transport over forcing bullocks and ponies on the punishing pilgrimage. Animal Rahat’s teams worked around the clock—giving rest, water, and shade to 6,331 exhausted animals; providing lifesaving treatment to 187 animals who were dehydrated, injured, or collapsing; and removing 197 painful torture devices from use. This year showed that kindness is becoming the new tradition, and a truly humane pilgrimage is already taking shape. Support our efforts by making a valuable contribution.

It was just a discarded tin can, probably thrown away without a second thought.

But for one cow, it became a source of constant hunger and pain. No one knew how long she had suffered like that..until Animal Rahat found out about her. 🙂🐄

Celebrations should never be celebrated as someone suffers. Bullocks and ponies forced to walk hundreds of kilometres, often in the scorching heat, sometimes collapse from exhaustion and face wounds and dehydration.😢
