With immense pride and satisfaction, we announce the successful completion of the KAB State Team Selection for the upcoming KIO National Championship held from 21st to 23rd May 2026 at Jawpur Indoor Cricket Academy, Dum Dum.
KAB proudly continues its commitment towards the welfare and development of athletes and coaches:
✅ Around ₹7,70,000/- sponsorship support for players
✅ ₹2,00,000/- Medical Insurance coverage for all players & coaches
✅ ₹28,000/- financial assistance for all Bengal coaches
✅ Around ₹1,00,000/- distributed as Honorarium to the dedicated Referees & Judges
The prestigious occasion was graced by Hon’ble Chief Guest, Mr. Tarunjyoti Tewari (MLA, Government of West Bengal) and Special Guest, Mr. Kamalesh Chatterjee (Vice President, Bengal Olympic Association) along with Mrs. Sucheta Das (Eminent Social Worker), whose presence greatly inspired all participants and officials.
In the presence of the beloved President of KAB, Hanshi Premjit Sen and General Secretary of KAB, Hanshi Joydeb Mondal, the entire Selection process was conducted. Kyoshi Subhas Mitra (Vice President of KAB), Shihan Manotosh Kar (Treasurer of KAB) and Kyoshi Parash Mishra (Joint Secretary of KAB) were also present on all three days.
Around 1300 players from all affiliated Districts of Karate Do Association of Bengal (KAB) participated in more than 100 categories of Kata & Kumite, showcasing exceptional talent, discipline and fighting spirit. The entire selection process was conducted with utmost fairness and professionalism by nearly 50 WKF, AKF & KIO Referees and Judges who worked tirelessly throughout the three days in extreme heat conditions.
This grand event reflects the vision, unity and relentless efforts of the entire KAB family in building a stronger future for Karate in Bengal.
