SPEED Trust (Slum People Education and Economic Development) is a charitable public trust which acts in the slum areas of Chennai, the fourth largest city in India and capital of Tamil Nadu

Officially created in 2003, SPEED Trust is prolonging an action undertaken by the former SPEED Association in 2000>

The organization's programs, which lay particular stress on education, responsability and self-confidence, are directed towards improvement of the slum-dweller's situation.

To make the summer vacation of our tuition students useful, we arranged for students to visit Vivekananda House and Bharathiyar Memorial House today.The students were entertained by a tech-savvy museum called "Anubhav Vivekananda", which showcases Indian culture, the life and message of Swami Vivekananda at this historic location. It was conducted using the latest trends like virtual and augmented reality, modern 3D/4D effects and advanced Son et Lumiere elements.At Bharathiyar's home, students learned about Bharathiyar's life story, his poetry and passion for the Tamil language, and his role in the freedom struggle.
