Today, we want to share the inspiring story of Annick and Leonie from Germany.
In February, while travelling across India and learning about organizations working for the upliftment of women, they visited Empower Her in Rishikesh. They spent time with our women and girls, understood our work, and witnessed how together we are creating opportunities through women empowerment, education, menstrual hygiene awareness, and support for those in need.
Our mission touched their hearts, and they decided to do something truly special.
They cycled an incredible 1,550 km across New Zealand, from the South Island to the North Island, climbing nearly 10,000 metres in elevation, to support Empower Her.
Their journey was much more than a bike ride. It was a journey of compassion, kindness, and hope. It reminds us that humanity knows no borders and that even someone thousands of kilometres away can change lives with love and determination.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you, Annick and Leonie, for believing in our work and becoming a part of the Empower Her family. Your support will help us continue empowering women and girls with dignity and hope.
